My oldest biological son has a habit of starting conversations with "Teach me a life lesson."

How would you answer that question to your beloved?

Well, that's what this thread is asking. Share with us. ... "Teach us a life lesson."

Please note:
If the "lesson" you intend to share is secretly or openly aimed at or against any particular chatter or group... in simplest terms... you've missed the point. (My apologies to the sincere for having to include that notation.)

But with that said... Give us your best!

Love in Jesus,
Kelby

I might start by sharing this one:

If you don't seek God until He answers, you'll go through life with nothing but your own understanding... and the teachings of men.
(John 6:44&65; Proverbs 3:5, Matt 15:9, Mark 7:7)

That, and... God is truly forgiving. Even if you feel like you've failed him beyond belief, go to him anyway. He still loves you.
(Jonah 2:8)

Crack open the bible and allow God's light to shine. For it is within its pages that great treasure awaits. God alone has the answers we seek.

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." James 1:5

Worrying never helps a situation; it only adds anxiety to it.
Neither does ignoring a situation - it only adds ignorance.

I would say this is a great life lesson

God doesn’t love us because we’ve always been lovable

Are country music singers teaching spiritual lessons now? Just curious.

There is nothing more sorrowful than to have lived a life of regret.

I've come to give you life...and that more abundant...(Jesus)

I’m sire if they are Christians and have written lyrics claiming Gods love is without end I’d say some do .

are Christians commanded to look for opportunities to make snarky comments whenever we can ?

Nehemiah answered this perfectly for me, if inadvertently :)
who’s the herd ?

have you listened to that song ? A good life lesson would be even when we have done wrong , God loves us because he is a father to us .

like the boy in the beginning of the song he had done wrong and was afraid to go home to his dad because he had gotten in trouble but found out that his dad loves him anyways and forgave him and assured him he was loved still

lol to me that is a pretty good lesson for a kid to learn

“ daddies don’t just love thoer choldren every now and then , it’s a love without end amen “

seems pretty appropriate for the ops question lol I hadn’t realized tone would take issue with it still seems pretty relevant to me though . God doesn’t love us because wEve always been perfect or never done wrong like a father loves his children his love endures

Many Country Music singers are believers. In fact, the majority of those who are, are Church of Christ. I was surprised to find that out myself.

I'm not personally a fan of that song but you are right that it fits the request of the OP.

To word it in terms of one of my own life lessons, I've learned that sometimes the world is a better teacher than the church. And that you should take good lessons wherever they are available rather than scoffing at the hand being extended to you.

(Luke 16:8, Luke 10:29-36, Acts 10:9-16&44-47)

Love in Jesus,
Kelby

I once learned a valuable life lesson: park as far away from the entrance to the store as you can. The walk is good for you anyway.

If at first you do not succeed, twice you do not succeed, forget it. No sense being all OCD about it.
