That's a secret...it's a mystery.
How many time has your religious leaders given that response to your questions?
Mystery? Secret? God says, John 17:3 “ This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you the only true God, and the one you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”

If knowledge means life, what does a lack of knowledge mean…death?
Will God say to a slow thinking, man, “sorry fellow, you weren’t smart enough to figure out my words, you’re a dead duck.” I don’t think so.
One truth I do know. God made his word so simple, even a stupid person like me can understand it. Yeah it takes a little work to dig it out. It’s not a study for lazy people, and we all know how God feel about lazy people?

Secrets? Does God have secrets? Yes. He has one. He always keeps secret when he is going to do something. He is tight lipped about that. He doesn’t even tell his son Jesus.
Have you ever wondered why he keeps that secret? Not to hard to figure out. Suppose he told us when the system would end. Say hes said , “Okay, the end will be June the tenth in the year 2020.”
I’m sure many, perhaps even me, would say, “Seven years. I can do all the bad I want for say, six year, then just ask for forgiveness, and skate right on into Gods new system.”
What do you think…Does God keep the truth from his people, or just the unbeliever?

Actually to the prophets he made a number of prophecies stating exactly when things would go wrong and when the would happen.
Since Christ though things are different.

Actually the Bible goes further, it says the mysteries are made clear to us
Matthew 13:11 He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven
While the Tanach (OT) held some things undefined and a mystery, the NT explains those mysteries.
Luke 8:10 And He said, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God
Any mysteries talked about by preachers now are because of the bits of Greek philosophy that wormed their way into Christianity (most notably via Clement of Alexandria but through other sources).
The mysteries of the 3 parts of god are from Plato and Socrates. If you ant to know more read the works of Clement of Alexandria and have you Plato and Socrates handy - the Bible is touched upon a BIT too.

There are secrets. Jesus didn't know when he would return. He said only God knew.
Jesus knows now as he sits at the right hand of God now - and God has put all things in His (Jesus') power.

There are mysteries as shown in Job most clearly (Job 39-41).

We cannot know the depth of God.
But we have an intermediate - the man Jesus, the Anointed.
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
He knows the depths of His father now. He has been given his father's Name.

We know what we need to know - the word of God was given to man by the spirit of God ('inspired' means with the spirit of God) - that is the work of the comforter (the spirit of God at work in the early church)

I think God intentionally made it to where salvation is through the foolishness of the Cross my friend. Like our bible tells us he has hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them unto babes.

It really is marvelous when you think about it. It all ends up to the Praise of His Name and good for us who love Him. But to those who love their sin and want to continue in that life. God will let them ya know. Some love God and will serve Him no matter what. And some won't.

Some people talk around their elbow to get to their thumb, others in circles...My darling Grandfather used to call it, "Double talk." It all sound good, intelligent, and high class sounding…when in fact, it's like politicians who speak for hours without saying anything anybody can make sense of. I have a shorter term for it. “Ear tickling.”

Well that's the thing about the secrets or deep things of God, They are treasures and you don't often just find treasure left in the open for us to walk by and pick up. Remember the parable Jesus told about heaven? A Pearl merchant went out seeking A valuable pearl, He knew exactly what he was searching for and would not accept anything less. As you know when he found it he sold everything he owned and bought the field it was in. This pearl was a metaphor for heaven and was treated as a treasure, So are the secrets of God.
