A lot of people believe thataccording to Daniel 11:37 The Antichrist will be homosexual.
At one time I was thinking about that, but with the different translations, not all translations make out the reference to homosexuality. I think the entire verse of 11.37 deals with worshiping of other gods. Now this requires some research, but in the time period concerned, was it common for women to persuade men to worship other gods?

Looking at it from another angle, there are other references that make it clear regarding worshiping practices of other gods, so I think the reference to "nor the desire of women" maybe a reference to the worshiping practices of the women concerned.

Hello Alertandawake,

I have seen this inference regarding those claiming that the scripture is inferring that the antichrist is a homosexual, but the scripture doesn't say that at all. Below are a few translation examples of Daniel 11:37:

New International Version
He will show no regard for the gods of his ancestors or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all.

New Living Translation
He will have no respect for the gods of his ancestors, or for the god loved by women, or for any other god, for he will boast that he is greater than them all.

English Standard Version
He shall pay no attention to the gods of his fathers, or to the one beloved by women. He shall not pay attention to any other god, for he shall magnify himself above all.

Berean Study Bible
He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers, nor for the one desired by women, nor for any other god, because he will magnify himself above them all.

New American Standard Bible
"He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the desire of women, nor will he show regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all.

King James Bible
Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

The theme of scripture is that, this ruler/antichrist will exalt himself above every god. I included the last two translations that say "nor the desire of woman" which, because of the gist of the scripture, it would mean that he will neither regard the god desired by women and not that he will not desire women. In further support of this, right after the verse says, "nor the desire of women" it then says, "nor for any other god," which would support the fact that the verse is talking about the god desired by women. It would also make no sense with the theme of the scripture being about this ruler/antichrist exalting himself above every god and then to insert his sexual preference.

This is just a terribly misinterpreted scripture for those who are interpreting it to mean that the antichrist is a homosexual.

Would one "consider", that this "anti-christ", be muslim, or islamic, by nature? :cautious: Seeing how "other" groups of perverts, of a reprobate mind, who are just AS "committed" in "their" destruction of Israel, and Christianity, in their agenda, are rather "aiding", if not outright "screening" for the islamic agenda?

Irregardless! Things are seeming to "jell" to a point, where wisdom is discerning out such "tribulation?" Yes? ;)

Yes after careful analysis, the reference to "nor the desire of women" would have to be a reference to the other god/gods worshiped by women. It makes sense, and is logical. And it matches the context of what Daniel 11.37 is reference to. Look what happen with Solomon, his wives convinced him to worship other gods.

Spot on. When one thinks about it, discussing about worshiping of other gods, and then all of a sudden a person's sexual preference, is like changing the subject midway.
