The reason why the attack is against the King James Holy Bible is simply because it is the true, inerrant and infallible word of the living God. There truly is power in the King James Holy Bible. The King James Bible honours and exalts the deity, person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ. And that is what Satan hates the most.
You see the modern versions in many places weaken, lessen and attack the person, work, and deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Consider for instance; the corrupt New English Bible, and how it will only use thee and thou when addressing God, but when it is addressing the Lord Jesus Christ, it does not use "thou" or "thine" but instead uses the generic "you" "yours" and "your." Showing that they reject the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Also; consider the American Standard Version of 1901, which is considered the Grandfather of all the modern translations, two subtle attacks on the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ are made.
The first one is in Micah 5:2; there is a little number which directs you down to a footnote that reads:
"other ancient manuscripts say...from ancient days."
You see; the editors and translators behind the ASV did not like the reading found in the King James Bible: "...from everlasting."
But rather, they preferred the reading that attacked His Deity which is found in the corrupt Vaticanus and Sinaiticus manuscripts, and that reads as: "from ancient days"
The other subtle attack that the grandfather of all modern versions made on the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ is in John 9:38.
The reading of John 9:38 in the American Standard Version of 1901 was identical to the reading found in the King James Holy Bible. But once again; the editors put a small number next to the verse directing the reader to their footnote that says:
"The Greek word denotes an act of reverence, whether paid to a creature (as here) or to the Creator."
And this sublte attack on the Lord's Deity, shows the Arian Heresy that was in the ASV 1901. And for those who are not familiar with the Arian Heresy, it simply teaches that Jesus was not God, but that he was the highest of CREATED beings.

Look the KJV was made because the Holy Spirit moved the heart of a king to translate the Latin into English. Many people died or I should say killed that lead up to the KJV. The church would execute anyone who had an English version. I meant the devil used the church. This was called the dark ages when the church actually chained bibles to to the pulpit. The word of God was hidden until Luther and clover dale and Tyndale until King James said enough and the best scholars he could find and presented the King James bible and as Tyndale dreamed every plow boy in England hada copy of the word of God.

labeling Christians as terrorist/hate groups, raising taxes, forcing bills on people, war monger/dictator
Republicans form of an antichrist ( Romney )
do away with programs that help the less fortunate, said did not care about poor, raising taxes on middle/lower class, but lowering them on the upper/rich class, wanting to police the world. Who knows what else he would have done if elected.
The sad thing was there was not a third choice on the ballet.

Oh but there is, Prayer. God can change the heart of the king as channels of water. But, our current commander in chief is Muslim and that can be hard to change. Church people voted for this guy and why, they did not know the word of God. They said well I'm saved so let the gay's have their way and the baby killers and now yes now the pedophiles are being released.

If people are so set in their ways a debate is going to go nowhere with them. If you do one thing, they argue another.
Examples: give scripture, they say don't apply or out of context because they don't like what it says.
give opinion, they say no scripture to back it up so not true

Kenneth, I don't really think that the government should be involved with our school system or taking "care" of the poor, etc. This should have always been left to Christians. When the/our government gets involved money and power always becomes leverage. Personally, I think our government should be involved with as little as possible because the wealthy (usually unethical) own our government.
DC, I vote, but with the realization that it most likely doesn't mean anything, because I agree, that our elections are fixed. I mean, how difficult would it be to prove that all votes are legit. I mean, you would have to be the government to attempt to figure it out

It's much harder to "make up" the "word of God" when an inerrant standard exists... that's another reason the KJV is under attack. Nowadays if you don't like a particular biblical doctrine, you can either go to a different translation that supports your heresy or you can go to the lexicon and pick one of the 5 or 6 definitions that aligns most with your heretical view.
For example if you believe in the gap theory which is not supported in the KJV, you can go to Strong's and pick out whatever word you want to substitute for "was". The gap theory believer will say a better translation for "was" would have been "become". And there you have it... you changed the word of God so it would line up with your belief.

America is a child that ran away from home and never grew up. Yes, I appreciate the ideals upon which our country was founded. And I appreciate the freedoms that we do have. But in case you haven't noticed, Christianity is (and has been) under attack in our country. For the most part, we are not killed for our beliefs, but God is being undermined and discredited at every turn. Sin is encouraged. Materialism is embraced. And our government hands out money to those who drive brand new Cadillacs, while denying it to others who really need it. And many people feel like they have already given their money to the government (to help the needy) so they don't have/need to give it again. And an insurance claim for breast alteration is paid for, but they won't pay a dime for some surgeries because "there wasn't a tragedy" - Yes, that happened to my family recently (not the breast alteration - that was a co-worker; but to be fair, it was a reduction).
