A few thoughts before I (probably) disappear again. I've never really understood why Enoch wasn't included, although the part about people being the size of skyscrapers might have been a part of it. Still -
Well, it's quite possible that they grew larger and larger with every year, having started out relatively normal sized. People did live around nine hundred years at the time. And I could see this being possible, although unlikely.
I know what you mean. I started out loving this site, until I kept running into too many posts like this:
Jews are a counterfeit? Why, I never knew that I had been a counterfeit anything! Please - tell me about it. Since you know about the Jewish experience. Because I've always been fascinated with people who know "the Jews" read the kabbalah and the zohar, and of course know this having never spent any time with any Jews. I know I never read either. Rather, these people tend to learn stuff by reading conspiracy websites or somesuch. I was Jewish, and follow the Jewish Messiah as foretold in the Old Testament and described in the New. I'd like to think I have more knowledge of what Jews are like rather than someone taking notes at "WorldwideIsraeliConspiracyRunByRothchilds.com"
I keep saying this, but no one ever listens: The reason it's exceedingly difficult to get Jews to convert? Posts like this one, with the underlying message. Yeah, that'll get people to listen to you. The Jews as a whole don't really reject Jesus. They reject His representatives, who call them counterfeit, who have a history almost two thousand years long of hatred and scorn then violence against the Jew. And I would try to explain this to you in further detail, but some are without understanding; who have eyes, and see not; who have ears, and hear not.
For instance:
See, now I've learned a lot here. My pastor told us when we covered the book how Esther was included to show how God is in control of all events, even behind the scenes, how you could find God's fingerprints everywhere in not just this story but in all of human life. But I guess that was just my pastor. I also don't recall Esther being called a whore anywhere, maybe someone could find the Bible passage that relates that particular point? Or the one where it says that Mordecai seduced the king? Because that's not in my Bible either. I mean, I do recall how Esther was selected BY the King to be his new wife when his old one didn't work out. I also remember Mordecai discovering a plot to kill the king and stopping it. But as to Mordecai seducing the king, wow.
But you know, when you have a site that has people who think Jews are counterfeit people, I have to wonder what their solution to this is. And by that, I mean what would their 'final' solution be. Because, when you judge one group of people lesser than yourselves, it's not too much of a stretch for people to start doing something about it, history is full of examples of this. Much like what happened in Esther, by the way. It was also made quite clear that the edict to attack the Jews could not be rescinded, but that the Jews could also defend themselves, which was why you had all those people dying. Unless you assume that the Bible was lying about the Jews overpowering those who hated them, and who could have laid hand on their plunder, but did not. Which, you know, would not be the case thousands of years later when various churches killed and plundered the Jews.
Maybe things will be different here in a few more months. But I kind of doubt it.

It was like hitting a brick wall. I went on to the New Testament after that, and had to force myself to read Chronicles, after over a year later.
Well, it's quite possible that they grew larger and larger with every year, having started out relatively normal sized. People did live around nine hundred years at the time. And I could see this being possible, although unlikely.

After hearing OUR Father out in the Language He Chose to Give it in, HEBREW i am once AGAIN young of heart/mind, instead of old, angry,bitter,cofused etc...like i was. Oh! and my faith in Christ has NEVER been stronger, and only gets BETTER Everday, You would ask me to throw this away? You can take this world and EVERYTHING in it and >>>>>>>>>>>>>
