From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria.

Good night, Goodness! :)

So as many of you know I made a thread explaining that I joined a Catholic forum to better understand them and their faith and to see if what is said about them is true or not. first and foremost some of them are indeed saved, just like Christianity they have many denominations and views and doctrines within the Catholic faith however there are some who call themselves Catholics but express a deep love and passion for God and others I was amazed at the fire I saw in some of them.

i will admit though for the most part they are much more about traditions and such, they believe that the Catholic church is the sole authority to teach and that Peter was the first pope although they have no real evidence of this. They also do not test all their beliefs with scriptures like we do they call this sola scripture and say it is a false teaching and some even doubt that the bible is the word of God at all. Water baptism is apparently what saves us according to some of them others say it's Jesus blood but mainly most of them say it's water baptism itself but also then comes the blood.

in short both Catholics and Christians misunderstand each other, both sides believe that they are the ones who are right and on both sides some are simply hateful about the other religion and say that the other faith is pagan but they also have those among them who say not all are unsaved.

So my conclusion is that yes I admit many of them are not saved because they hold much more value and authority in the church and traditions than the bible and God himself but also some are saved holding many Christian values but go by Catholic and do still hold some of the traditions of the Catholic faith but make it a point to focus on the love and relationship with God in order to grow and become strong in him. I won't be going there much anymore because I found the evidence and truth I sought after, it is said that the Catholic faith is pagan and for the most part i would agree but not all of them are.
I hope you will come to terms with the disparity of the body of Christ, and see anyone who has a heart for God can be saved.

BREAKING NEWS!!! MAP MAKERS AND GEOGRAPHERS HAVE MADE A STARTLING DISCOVERY!
The Vatican does not sit on the seven hills of Rome! You have to cross the Tiber River from the Vatican to get to the seven hills! Who knew?!?

"The sevenheads represent seven hills on which the woman sits." First ofall, no Pope has ever lived or had his "seat" (cathedra orcathedral) on any of the seven hills of Rome. These hills are small hillocks (Capitoline, Palatine, Esquiline, Aventine and three lesser"bumps" in central Rome) where the religion and governmentof pagan Rome was situated.

Seven_Hills_of_Rome2_svg.jpg
So, of what was St. John speaking when he wrote Revelation on the island of Patmos around 96 AD?Obviously of the pagan imperial system situated on the Seven Hills.Especially the Capitoline (the religious and political center) and the Palatine (the imperial palace). This pagan power persecuted the Church of Rome in Nero's day (64-67 AD), and in the mid-90s under Domitian was persecuting Christians throughout the Roman world.Domitian was considered by the people a re-incarnation of the evil, but well-liked, Nero (the head that lives again). While theantichrist Nero persecuted only the Christians of Rome, Domitian extended that persecution through the empire. Both are thus types of the final persecutor.

WHAT THE "BIBLE CHRISTIAN" HATE CULTS DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW:
THE SPIRITUALITY OF THE ANTI-CHRIST ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE:

In St. John's letters (1 John 4, 2 John 1), he tells us that the spirit of the Antichrist denies the Incarnation (the Son of God becoming man) and thereby also the Trinity (the Father and the Spirit, too).
THIS IS THESPIRIT OF ANTI-CHRIST.
There is not asingle text in 2000 years, including the new Catechism of the Catholic Church, where the Catholic Church, her popes, her bishops, her official teachings, her saints, or her acknowledged ecclesiastical authors, deny the Word-made-flesh or the Blessed Trinity.Instead, all of Christianity owes the preservation of these Truths to the Catholic Church, whose great Councils formulated them and whose saints and popes have defended them to this day, often at the cost of martyrdom.

The Whore of Babylon is not the Catholic Church, don't fall for funnymentalist propaganda.

lol "the record". And so you believe it too. Who cares what the admins of a chat board that's overflowing with encouraged heretical nonsense believes. I suggest you reexamine who the heretics are.
Could you please tell me where in Scripture I can find evidence of Mary's sinlessness, her immaculate conception, her perpetual virginity, her bodily assumption to heaven, or why I should accept her as the mother of humanity and the queen of heaven, and an intercessor between myself and God? As far as I have been able to determine, those things are actually heresies, but the RCC promotes them as truths, some of them as infallible truths, despite there being no evidence to support them through Scripture, and despite the fact that some of them are even plainly directly contradicted by Scripture. Jesus did not elevate Mary at all, and God multiple times says He will not share His glory, while the RCC glorifies not just Mary but Peter, as if the church Christ is building is founded upon a fallible man Jesus called Satan at one point, instead of on a confession of faith in Him, divinely inspired. There are plenty of Scriptures to attest to the fact that God is the sole rock of our salvation. That would be Petra, not Petros... awaiting your reply, but going to retire in the meantime.

Good night all :)

I would be happy to explain, but one thing at a time. You are asking me to post a small library.
It begins with understanding the sacred, and for that we look to the Old Testament. By "sacred", I don't mean something airy or atmospheric or feelings, I mean an earthly object that is holy. It starts with the Ark of the Covenant. It's not just a box. I'm really tired right now, so permit me to give you some easy to read links. I can get into more detail tomorrow or we can exchange messages privately.
[h=1]Mary, the Ark of the New Covenant[/h][h=1]4 Biblical Reasons Mary Is The New Ark of the Covenant[/h]
That's more than enough for now.

Circles. Like a broken record. Can never get past the first track. Fundamentalism 101. You can find my reply's to all of that in plenty of the circular discussions already taken place around here. Have a lovely weekend.

Metaphorically speaking; you kind-of set a fire in the living room with the first thread. Then you started another thread so more insults can be thrown at each other. Instead of telling everyone to stop, you have sat back and justified your actions as exploration. Goodness, now look...created mass distention of hate. (Or dislike if people prefer that word.)

Can't we just make peace? Would we be this unkind to each other in person? Colleagues, neighbours, relatives...the intensity of right or wrong is slanderous.

I will start; I am apologetic to anyone I offended that may be Catholic. It's been an interesting journey into learning of your culture; and who knows, we may all meet up in Heaven? We are all obviously very passionate about God! Jesus makes the final judgement and I have to trust He sees everyone's heart...not me, ever.

** Many blessings be bestowed upon those who walk with strength and conviction in God our Father; and to control one's anger and strife. Satan is all of our mortal enemy; and we should be wise to focus on that commonality than our differences. In this I say and in all things good, amen! **
Firstly even if I asked ppl to stop do you really believe they will? second if we cannot discuss a topic without going into all out war that is immaturity on our part. I mean if I can't make a thread about the Catholics without everyone going into war and setting the forums in flames what does that say about us as Christians?

You? Yes! Much of this would stop if you asked.

The silence on this board is deafening, because too many are afraid to speak up. Too much slides by, which then gives the goader permission to keep going.

It's to the point that when someone does speak up, it gives the goaders reason to descend on the person... while others watch in silence.

You know heated debates in which mean words are used names are called scripture is sued as a weapon against each other and many times seeing all this chaos all this anger all this unloving debating I go in there and I remind everyone that we are called to be love I go in there to attempt to calm the storm but everyone is far more interested in arguing and debating than to heed my words very few if any listen to me and the war threads continue raging on.

If they wouldn't listen then why would they listen now?

The angel told John that the woman you saw is that great CITY that rules over the kings of the earth. Therefore, it is meant to point us to Rome, which at the time that John was receiving this information was that great city that ruled over the kings of the earth. It is also meant to point us to Rome and her pagan religious system. Regarding the woman/Mystery Babylon, she is said to be dressed in purple and scarlet, which are the base colors that the Roman liturgy wear.

It is also said that the woman sits on many waters and then later in chapter, the angel tells John, "The waters you saw where the woman sits are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages, which represents the RCC's pagan world-wide influence. Roman Catholicism has over 1.2 billion in number, the RCC claims to be the true church of Christ, when it is obviously pagan with all of her practices and rituals. The agenda of the RCC is to bring all denominations and sects under her control, which power to do so will be gained when that antichrist is revealed. One of the future pope's will play the part of the false prophet who will be the one performing those miracles, signs and wonders, even causing fire to come down out of heaven in full view of the inhabitants of the earth. These will be done on behalf of the first beast, that antichrist, for the purpose of giving authenticity/credibity to the one who be proclaiming himself to be God or anything that is called God or worshiped.

By the pope being that false prophet, the beast will have all of those Catholics in his hip pocket and that because they are devoted to the office of pope and its liturgy. It is that second beast, the false prophet who will cause all both great and small, rich and poor, free and slave to receive the beast's mark. Since the false prophet will be the pope, then the people will willfully receive that mark at his word, as well as worship the beast and his image.

There is not asingle text in 2000 years, including the new Catechism of the Catholic Church, where the Catholic Church, her popes, her bishops, her official teachings, her saints, or her acknowledged ecclesiastical authors, deny the Word-made-flesh or the Blessed Trinity

The problem is that, the RCC is preaching a different gospel and a different Lord, for there are gospels many and Lord's many. Their mentioning of Jesus doesn't do away with her list of false teachings, rituals and practices which are nowhere found in the word of God.

Instead, all of Christianity owes the preservation of these Truths to the Catholic Church, whose great Councils formulated them and whose saints and popes have defended them to this day, often at the cost of martyrdom.
This is false! If the RCC was the one who preserved the truth, she would be abiding in the truth today, as it is, she is pagan through and through. She is paganism wearing Christian clothing. She is that Mystery Babylon and she is the one is guilty of the blood of the apostles, prophets and saints when she initiated the inquisitions, imprisoning, torturing and killing anyone who did not bow to the Roman church and her pope's as Christ's authority, controlling kings and wielding their armies. She is going do the same thing again when that antichrist comes who will put her back into power. She will once again be drunk with the blood of the saints, the great tribulation saints, who during that time of persecution will keep the testimony of Jesus and the word of God and who will not bow to the beast, his image nor receive his mark.

I assure you, those of us around here are not misguided at all, but through the Holy Spirit we know the truth of the matter. Anyone who remains within the RCC, participating in her rituals and practices, which is spiritual adultery, will suffer with her when God uses the beast and the ten kings to destroy her with fire. The meaning of the kings of the earth committing adultery with her and the inhabitants of the earth being intoxicated with the wine of adulteries, is in reference to them engaging in her practices and rituals. Spiritual adultery is defined as, to be unfaithful to Christ, while posing as His true follower, which is exactly what the RCC, her pope's and her liturgy are doing. My prayer for all Catholic's is the same as what God is saying:

"‘Come out of her, my people,’so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes." (Rev.18:4)

Because this is your thread, and you aren't going in way after the canons ran out of cannonballs. :)

It won't stop. But it's the difference between a skirmish and The Battle of Stalingrad.

You're not some lowly little no one that no one ever listens to. You're Blain -- the man with the heart of God and the humility to go with it. You're like young David!

We can tell people what we want out of our threads, but we can't really kick someone off. This is a public forum, after all.

Augustine taught that error has no rights. According to him, coercion using "great violence" was justified.
A sad belief that almost all Christians still hold... to this very day.

Blain is one of a handful of people here who don't need to be told this. He will even speak gently with you about your particular preferences........ many wouldn't.

Don't burn your bridges before you get to them.
