God gave the law by Moses, and the Jews feared the law, and not God.
And God gave the grace and truth by Jesus Christ, and they killed him. They did not fear God.
And he sent out Apostles and Prophets and Teachers, and all ministers of the gospel, but they were hated and mocked and kicked and bruised, and shackled. Because of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the generation of the Gentiles, were given the whole of the scriptures, and many Christians fear the scriptures, and not God.
So there is this faith and that belief, and this idea and that idea, and this church and that church, and this doctrine and that doctrine, and this quarrel and that quarrel, but there is NO grace, and NO truth!
And so, these are those that will kill the servants of Jesus Christ.
Whereas the Jews rested in the law, the Gentiles now rest in the scriptures. But the whole time God was trying to reconcile the world to himself. So, the Lord spoke by his holy men, and his holy women, but people would not hear him calling. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ to die on a cross, but men worshiped the cross. He rose from the dead, and men worshiped the grave.
And men would go even so crooked as to worship angels, but all neglecting to know Jesus Christ.
Not everyone who calls himself or herself a Christian knows Jesus. Beware of them!!! Many of them do not know the truth at all. Yes, they know the scriptures, and the rest in the scriptures, but they have know idea about God, because they don't think he is real.
They look very holy, and their doctrines they say are sound. But it is full of devils. Yes, their doctrines are out of hell!
It was written that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to HIMSELF!! Not to the bible, not to your local church, not to your local bookstore. Not to your pastor, nor to your priests, nor to your denomination, nor to your website.
God was IN CHRIST, RECONCILING THE WORLD TO HIMSELF!!!
Ever since the beginning God has been trying to draw people to himself, but they will not draw nigh to him. Even in the time before the Kings Israel desired kings, but would not subject themselves to God, who is a just king.
This is the error of the Christian. If some will turn back to worship the Lord, and seek his kingdom and his righteousness, he will save them from this error.
There is nothing wrong with the name, but what is wrong is if a person claims to be a Christian, and does not obey Jesus. That is error.
Titles don't save. Jesus saves. Do you know Jesus?
