Yes,’

in the same conversation, he said that whoever sees and believes will be saved.

We will not believe unless God draws us I agree. He must take us to our knees or we will never believe

but we still must chose to say yes lord, I want your salvation. Or no lord. I do not want it.
He does more than that He sends the Holy Spirit upon us and He works with the gospel to cause us to believe.
"He who began the good work in us will carry it through to completion at that day"

It is the Holy Spirit who convicts us [that is convinces us]

You still can not show me

I can will to recieve the gift of God and be saved

or i can will to reject the gift of God and stay unsaved.

That is not an idol.. this makes no sense whatseoever
it is God who wills IN US to do of His good pleasure.
we are born again not by the will of man or by the will of the flesh but by the will of God. .... but you insist it was your will.

Why do you lower the standard of the law and excuse your sin?
awake_unto_righteousness.jpg

You repeat standard issue lines that have been well and truly refuted by those who believe in eternal security.
Actually, the OSAS peoples are just dreaming... OSAS is false doctrine and is not biblical.

So, keep on dreamin that you are "refuting" the doctrine of Christ... cause you have done no such thing.

We don't have the free will to leave God
False!

God created man in His Image... that's where we got free will from.

Only the followers of calvin believe man has no free will... calvin was an unrepentant murder so he was totally clueless and it's any where near being qualified to provide spirit advice to anybody since he had hate and murder in his heart towards other people

1 John 3:15
ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

This is the great flaw of Arminian theology
Well I am not an arminian. So if you want to talk talk to me. Not some long dead person.

that makes it millions of times worse than Calvin. Calvin's solution is Limited Atonement which is pretty abhorrent but at least it would depend upon God's judgement. Arminius makes it depend upon human will. Not only the human will of the one who hears the gospel but ...
... but the will of those who are tasked with preaching the good news to the whole world. Will they go or will they stay at home? whole nations of souls depend upon it BILLIONS of souls.

That's if you believe Arminius. You can only choose if you are given a choice.

"anyone who was there" you say, that's right, the Jews, they were there. They were the chosen people. Elect, chosen.

I constantly hear folks say in the last judgement is unto damnation, after all the church is in the first resurrection right? so according to any theology all else have been passed over and must be damned ... right?

That is not what the bible says. The bible says that when God comes to judge the earth He will judge with equity, that is with perfect fairness.[/QUOTE]

lol. God wants a relationship

Calvin says theif is no relationship. We are all robots doing Gods will

Arminian say we have free will. But we must continue to save ourself

they are both in error..

You continue to lower the law to your standard. And refuse to repent..

The church is a local assembly of saved, baptised believers, covenanted together to carry out the great commission and commandment. That's what it is at Antioch , Corinth, Ephesus, Phillipi, the churches plural in Galatia etc.

All believers are in the Family of God but they are not 'the church'.

Mathew 16:18 introduces the church and in Mathew 18 it is local and visible. It can be spoken to and has church discipline.

Jesus would not introduce the church one way and then contradict Himself. It's got to be local in both cases. Of the church as an institution.
if there was only 1 human being on Earth, Yeshua, would have went to the Cross for them. Anyone Saved, is the Church, and even more so like you have pointed out, the assembly of Believers are the Church.

Wait...1 co 12 describes the body of Christ...and it is the church at Corinth. Local and visible. That does not include all redeemed. Antioch is another local body...so is Ephesus etc.

'body' is as 'assembly, congregation'

I know the majority of believers consider all redeemed to be the body of Christ. But you gotta look at what body is being addressed
1 co 12 it is local and visible and doesn't include all redeemed.

All redeemed is in the Family of God. It is not the body of Christ. The body of Christ is local every time. The only time all redeemed become a body is in the end..with the New Jerusalem.

'there is one body ' ...yes... That was the body at Ephesus. There was also one body at Antioch..one body at Corinth etc..

It isn't Christ's literal body. It's body as in group... assembly.. congregation.

That's how Thayer defines it and that is what Ecclessia is .

technically, it's at least 2 so Jesus is in the Midst. but, it takes 1 SAVED to get together with another person Saved to get to that point. so the SAVED, are bringing the Holy Spirit with them and that atmosphere is how Jesus can be in the midst. but, it all begins with 1 Saved Person.

the churches inRev are more that 2 people. And they have saved an unsaved in them
the physical 7 Churches are the Churches Paul established and then the Apostle John became Bishop over them and his disciples like Polycarp, Ignatius, Papias, and others oversaw these Churches around 97 AD.

but those Churches still show a barometer for the SINGLE SAVED PERSON.

tell me, if a Church, can lose their First Love, so can a Single Person.
so, those Sins do Apply to the Single Person.

a first love = SAVED
to lose it = no longer SAVED or in danger of losing it

but i would see why you do not want that to be true, it goes against Calvinism.

i heard a joke from a Catholic Person, one time, and it still cracks me up.

she said, a group of Baptist and Pentecostal were assembled together for a joint Denominational Conference.
the guest Speaker had the ushers hand out a pencil and small index card to write on.
the guest Speaker then asked the Entire Assembly, write down your Church Denomination and who is JC to you?
when they gathered all of the cards, they discovered, the Pentecostal's all answered JC = Jesus Christ, but the Baptist answered JC = John Calvin.

it's a joke, but sadly, there's much Truth to it...

I agree with a church only having saved and baptised members. Unsaved attending church - not a member of it.

So yea ..got to be saved to be in a church. But where I would differ is..church and all redeemed are different entities.

Anyway... The main thing is... Salvation is Jesus saving and then keeping us. Not based on our works.

If He keeps the salvation and He won't leave.. then we can't lose it.

Yep He began the work, just leave it there.

Does God live in you? are we to have the mind of Christ? are we to be transformed by the renewing of our minds? in order to discern that good and perfect will of God.

How do these things make us robots, I am not a robot, wishing to be remade in the image of the Son of God has not made me a robot. It is what man is created for.

Why are folks afraid that God should will in us to do of His good pleasure? He is not like a human dictator, His will, His wisdom, His will is perfect. He knows us better than we know ourselves ... you say you trust Him.
