That is right, the Holy Spirit is your Best Friend Forever , He wants a relationship with you sooo much, to help you succeed, laugh, love, even cry, sooo much :)

Verse: John 14: 16 , this is Jesus speaking: "And I will pray the Father, and, He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forevermore.

The 'Helper' = The Holy Spirit .

Scripture is clear that Christ gives (gifts) us His Holy Spirit for a 'counselor.'

Why wouldn't YOU want to embrace this counselor to lead YOU through YOUR life ? ?

The Holy Spirit is a gift from God, right? So, do YOU really want to turn down His gift to YOU :(

But, what about OUR friend ? I've heard 'helper,' and, 'counselor,' Green, but 'friend,' that is not a quote in scripture is it?
no, it's not. Well, as Hertz would say, 'not exactly.' :D

But, with a little ingenuity and making it your OWN gospel of convenience and GREATLY twisting and making the scripture sinuously your own, IT works ! You, my Christ friendlies, CAN just imagine it TRUE and call the Holy Spirit your 'friend.' ha-ha-HA!!! OK, JK, just kidding, kiddies :D , for the reasoning is momentarily going to be right before your very eyes. Surpirse !

This can correlate for you quite easily in A=B=C fashion, from Jesus (A) calling the 'disciples His 'friends,' to God (B) whom all knowledge came for Jesus from His Father, to the Holy Spirit (C), who is God's Spirit given believers. A,B.C. 1,2,3. Easy as A,B,C.... :)

'No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what His master is doing, but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.' (John 15: 14-15)

This, IF we believe that God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, all are ONE , three different purposed Folk, who altogether are for completely, utterly, showing us the way to a blessed life on earth, and, of course, show us there is no fear for when we die, for when we die we go to 'everlasting life' or 'everlasting death.' (Matthew 25: 41, 46)

So, the Holy Spirit is not visible, I don't see Him, anyway, (Do you?) but does that mean He is imaginary?

No. Scripture is clear. IF you are a christian and believe in ALL the gospel, then you MUST believe God gifts EACH of us individually with gifts of the Holy Spirit after we first have asked for and RECEIVED the Holy Spirit.

Am I making sense? Or, just pennies for my thoughts (Cents, get it? Nevermind :D )

He is in me (and I know, He is in some of you, those that have asked and received Him) and I KNOW, from the pre-ponderence of coincidences in my life the simple realisms of the Spirit working in me, the things in my life that have challenged me beyond normal natural reason. All show me that Christ SUPERNATURALLY exists in me, and, He in me is Spirit who shows me ALL Truth :)

Do you have this friend in your life? Why or why not?

Yes, we need to develop personal relationships with the Lord. It is extremely important. Too many people ignore the great and first commandment Jesus taught us in Matthew 22:34-40.

Oh, i hope not, lol, I was just putting myself into the question for anyone about (those pharasees ! :D) ) to say:

"Green, there is nowhere in scripture that I've read that the Holy Spirit is called our 'friend,' and, I've gone through all zillion translations, from NIV to KJV to NKJV to Revised Standard to Contemporary English Version to.... None of them refer to the 'Holy Spirit' as our 'friend' as you put it."

God bless you, shawnteeC, keep following Christ, brother, may you say what you best with the Holy Spirit's power inside of you . And, I've read your stuff in the singles forum, my friend, heady stuff (Truth). :)

This is the walk before God in a nutshell. Thank you Greeny. As the Lord leads, so do. And in so doing, you fulfill the Law in Love.

If we love God , we will understand the law . It is from Him too, we are to follow the law, but we are no longer (since Christ's death to life act for us on the cross) under the law. :) We are under grace .:)

Praise be to God, who took away the sins of the world and set the captives FREE ! :)

Forevermore, dead body, but I with Him :)

This all knowledge here really does make me smile, cee, as you can see :) God bless your work, Christ bro :)
