It's also not a matter of physical sin necessarily. The day they ate they did die, they died spiritually. Adam was created spiritually connected to God, the day they ate that connection was severed and our side died. That's why none of us born of Adam can be born with that part of us. This is also what makes the Virgin birth of Jesus so important and how He and only He was able to fulfill His word. Jesus was born of the Spirit and not of Adam, so He lived His life with that connection perfectly obedient. This was the purpose of His coming, to reconcile us to Him, to resurrect our dead spirit and reconnect it to His. This is being born again and is an actual thing that happens when we are saved in truth. This changes EVERYTHING and is an irreversible process, this is when doubt disappears because we now KNOW God and walk with Him and are connected to Him as we were created to be.

I read through these comments and only see the physical sin considered in this equation, and I feel that's just a by product of the real problem, dead spirits. As far as babies being born in and to sin, yet not being condemned if they die young is just a consistent reflection of Gods character and grace, I see no contradiction or anything off in this, as a matter of fact I am in awe of it's completeness and genius honestly. Praise our amazing and consistent God.

FAQ: How was it legitimate for Adam's posterity to be given the death
penalty for his offense when so many passages in the Bible are opposed to
passing a father's mistakes on to his posterity? For example: Ezek 18:1–4,
Ezek 18:18–20, 2Kngs 14:6, Deut 24:16, 2Chron 25:4, and Jer 31:29–30.

REPLY: The laws of God, especially His codified laws, are not retroactive.
(Deut 5:2-4, Rom 4:15, Rom 5:13 and Gal 3:17) in other words: God
doesn't impose His laws ex post facto.

That technicality is very useful when curious folks come around asking how
Jesus' human sacrifice was legal seeing as he-- a Jew --was limited to the
atonements specified in the covenant that Moses' people entered into with
God per Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, to wit:

Deut 4:2 …You shall not add anything to what I command you or take
anything away from it, but keep the commandments of The Lord your God
that I enjoin upon you.

Deut 5:29-30 …Be careful, then, to do as The Lord your God has
commanded you. Do not turn aside to the right or to the left: follow only the
path that The Lord your God has enjoined upon you.

Well, the secret is: Jesus was designated, and scheduled, to die for the sins
of the world prior to any of that. (1Pet 1:20 & Rev 13:8)

In the past, I was certain that the fruit contained something in it; but when
Eve tasted the fruit, nothing happened. She went right on in the buff as
usual and didn't become sensitive about her appearance till Adam tasted it.

So if we rule out the chemistry of the fruit as the source of the fallen nature,
and rule out the chemistry of Adam's body, then what/who was the cause of
Eve's new feelings about herself naked?
And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked;
so they sewed together fig leaves and made coverings for themselves. Genesis 3:7

Then how can a child die then if it hasn't sinned?
Because sin brings a spiritual death that leads to the second death unless one gets saved through Christ. The writer is not speaking of the first death that all mortals have to experience whether saved or not.

Why isn't it speaking about the 1st death?

you was there

You were in Adam when he sinned, you was in that rush of blood ...
indeed the same with the blessing of Abraham

He/She is under the same curse as the rest of us. DEATH entered the world thru Adam's sin

That’s not actually what it says . sin entered through adam

…..death entered through sin

because God told him “ don’t do this or you’ll certainly die “

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a death comes because of our sin sin came o to the world through Adam he effectively made all his offspring sinners and then thier own sins bring death

Yep, and because they did die spiritually the day they ate. That is why and how we are "born in sin", because we are born spiritually dead. Jesus is the only way out of this reality.

I’m not sure I’ve read about thier spiritual death but it sounds legitimate what you’re saying. But then why do men’s bodies die and tbier spirits are held for judgement in sleep ?

i think we need our spirit saved because we are born under condemnation because of what Adam did to us his transgression is unique . In that adam didn’t need to be saved he was created in perfect relationship with God already made In His image and likeness God had put Adam into Eden and brought animals to him to see what Adam would name them they had no shame

after they ate the fruit everything changes and God curses them and throws them out of Eden where he had placed them

few verses later we see this

“For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners,

so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a that’s not sayong adam sinned and now everyone is guilty for adams sin . It’s saying what Adam did caused us to become sinners by our nature when he took of the knowledge of good and evil that transgression caused this in all mankind

“I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. ( don’t partake of the knowledge of good and evil you’ll die for sure )

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The law of sin is there because of what Adam did rejecting Gods commandment and following satans lies consuming the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil in direct conflict with each other that affected mankind made us ourselves a conflict between good and evil spirit and flesh

“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭

God didn’t create Adam like that struggling between good and evil his spirit and his flesh . when they ate the knowledge of good and evil it corrupted them and caused us to be like that

a Adams transgression cause his offspring to become sinners themselves because his transgression affected mankind nature and minds and hearts leading here just ten generations later

“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:5-6, 11-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can already see God didn’t create wicked sinners meant to corrupt everything with thier evil
Imaginations , but rather when Adam transgressed it introduced the knowledge of evil into mankind’s heart and mind and the rest was history man was never made to possess the knowledge of evil but made to hear what God said believe him and walk by just that not considering the contrary things

sinner isn’t just someone who commuted a sin once it’s who we humans are inside we have corruption in us in our flesh

I agree with you a trillion percent!!

But what you have written is also eye awakening.

Here is a man already created "Saved."
Guaranteed to have Heaven as his Eternal Home forever.
And he "chooses," because we know Eve was deceived (but Adam [was not] deceived) to go ahead and sin and throw his inheritance all away.

Good thing for Adam that was God's Plan.
God wanted a way to show His Mercy and Grace.

And thankfully for Adam, he recognized he did sin and hid himself.
He was scared.
Repentance defined perfectly!

I do not believe that Adam was created saved... he was of the natural world and needed to eat of the tree of life in order to attain to life ever after, and he did not do that.

Sin is what keeps us separated from God.
Do you believe if Adam remained sinless he would end up in Heaven?

That's a "what if" that Scripture actually eliminates, because Jesus was purposed from before the foundation of the world to pay the sin debt.

Agreed. But sin is what keeps us from God. So had he not sinned we must also apply Biblical fact.

The fact is we do not know what would have happened to Adam had he not sinned because it's not what happened according to Scripture. We do however know that Adam was of the natural world and he had not eaten of the tree of life, and was banished from the garden after eating of the forbidden tree, with guards put on the tree of life so that he could not eat from the tree of Life also, and live Forever in his sinful state.

It's possible Adam would have eventually ate of the Tree of Life, but like you have mentioned, it's not how it happened :)

For sure, Adam was free to eat from the tree of life, but he didn't ... he chose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and then he was expelled from the garden and not allowed to eat from the tree of life. The way to the Father has been identified as Jesus, within Whom all life exists, and through faith in His shed righteous blood, we attain to life ever after.

salvation is only needed after the fall of man look how man ( the male and female ) impact everything just by doing what God told them not to do

Gods covenant with Adam and Eve

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

And( he even covenants with the other creatures here ) to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:27-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

these are all promises we find in Christ to be redeemed unto a new creation created in the image of our creator like Adam and ever we’re created in his image both make and female

He has only blessed them and called them to be fruitful same thing the gospel calls us to do and be blessed

He’s given the the earth as home , the same thing Christian’s are promised inheritance of a new earth where God dwells among us and where we eat from the tree of life freely

Reconciled , restored , redeemed , renewed ect these terms have meaning that we’re being brought back to what God actually created us to be before mankind fell into sin and death through Adam

adam was free to eat of the tree of life already he had nothing to be saved from is the idea . Salvstion is from what the devil did and then Adam and Eve fell into his snare in the beginning and became the perpetrators of his evil plan to kill mankind using Gods first commandment meant to keep them safe from death by causing them to doubt and break the commandment and follow satans promptings

It’s the same thing we Christian’s face when we are tempted we’ve heard the gospel the truth and then Satan tries to get that from our faith and give us a grenade that leads astray instead

what adam did bringing sin and death is what we need to be saved from he was created safe and sound and placed in Eden with God , it was thier transgression of what God said would bring death that caused the problem we need to be saved from

all adam had to do was believe the lords word who was there with him like he’ll be with us in the new creation walking amongst us as a father and his children no more sin and no more death but as if Adam had never sold us into sin

“For I ( mankind ) was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.( thou shalt not eat the fruit you’ll surely die )

And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This part was never the Will of God his Will was what he said not to eat the fruit and be freely eating the fruit of life fellowshipping with Gods presence in Eden

“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:5-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

think of what this is saying here God is repenting for what his creation has become it is t what he willed so much to the point he decides to destroy them all in repentance over even creating them in earth.

We can see in this that truly we mankind now are a fragment of what we are actually created to be in Gods plan for the earth without sin and death

even after man sinned and then death came upon mankind they still lived nearly a thousand year lifespans even after they had been cursed to death for sin but then he limits man to a hundred twenty years because his spirit won’t abide with them because they also are flesh

now the New Testament is talking about the same situation we’re in Gods spirit abiding with us ole we are in the flesh

“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh;

but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;

but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭

“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God didn’t create that problem satans lie andmankinds sin created that problem That we need salvation from they like a chrirtoan had the choice to dwell with the lord and live freely doing this

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

adam was given that freely and handed everything an inheritance when man was created then Our own corruption despite Gods provisions corrupted his entire creation and so we need anew one without sin

“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

were promised what Adam and Eve were given when created only next time we’re going to be in Christs image having overcome the world knowing what temptation is and that sin is certain death and faith in God is certain life forever

Did we inherit Adams sin nature AND his sin? Please use Scripture to explain. Let the discussion begin!
Sin nature.. we believers do not have that. Well that new man which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. That is us. But I think the verse you posted says it all no? PRAISE GOD GLORY TO JESUS we are no longer of this world.. this world is not our home.. we are citizen of heaven!

Yes. Because it's supported in scripture. Am I going to give a more detailed answer than that? No. There are lots of resources out there defending paedobaptism. I see no reason to repeat them here.
