due to a recent thread that asked about first fruits, and the responses to that thread, has showed me that. Alot of Bible scholars today
have neglected the Old Testament. Now I am not claimimg to be a Bible scholar, But have studied the Old Testament almost as much as
the New Testament. and do believe where the Bible says that there should be two or more witnesses before something should be
established. then we believe that the Old Testament and the New Testament are Both( and we need one as well and just as important as
the other) working together as a testamony for our God that we say we worship. With this said, I also believe not understanding the
covenants that God has made with most of these promises being fulfilled also, and knowing that all The covenants Of God will be fulfilled. That we misunderstand the promises of God concerning our salvation. So my prayer with this post is let those that have eyes see and those that have ears hear, and we pray this in the name of Our Lord and Saviour, that precious Name Of Jesus.

1co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

The Passover is not a Holy Day set aside to worship God, but rather the Passover was a one time event in Jewish history, which God ordered His people to observe forever. Events leading up to the passover, allowed some to see God and or Christ even down to the burning Bush, which represents Israel and their fiery trials, God's people, would suffer for the Word of God, but also implied that these trials would not consume them. As Moses being a picture of Christ himself, as a deliverer Of God's people from their bondage. When God appeared to Moses, He didn't say that he had respect for Israel and not Egypt, just because, He wanted it that way. He didn't Chose Israel over Egypt, because they honoured him More, for Israel was under the Egyptian boundage because they had turned their Backs on God, and many had begun to worship the Eygptian gods or that they had walked away from God, so it wasn't what Israel had done, it wasn't because the people of Israel were some great nation, so it wasn't who they were. but rather when He heard their cry for God to deliver them, from their bondage, He answered their plead for He had made a promise to their father Abraham:

Ge 22:15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
Ge 22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
Ge 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
Ge 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

the same applies, to His promises to today's people,

Ro 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Ro 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Joh 6:40 And this is the WILL OF him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
1jo 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should BELIEVE on the name of his SON Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

and the sacrifically Lamb which was another picture Of Christ Jesus, and the promise was if the Blood was applied as commanded then when God saw the Blood, He would passover,

1co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

But please note hear that it says to purge out the Unclean that ye may be new and although alot of you say that i say that eternal secured salvation is a license to sin, But I say unto you.

Ro 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Ro 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

So will you allow Jesus the Christ to be your passover, not because what you have done, can do or will do, not because of who you are as in someone worthy to recieve and obtain His Love, Mercy, and Grace. But Because of the promise of God as He said:

Joh 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

My family's been celebrating Passover with a Seder super for over 20 years. I highly recommend it. We have more guests for the Seder than for any other holiday dinner, since my parents invite their entire Bible study. One Bible study member, who grew up Jewish would bring kippot for all the men and his special cup, and would say the prayers in Hebrew. I'm actually getting my dad a Seder plate this year. You know, when I read the Bible cover to cover the Old Testament really emphasizes celebrating Passover to remember what God had done. Now, God told Peter we didn't have to eat Kosher anymore, and Jesus made it clear that we wouldn't be saved by following the law, but there's nothing that really says we, as Christians, don't have to observe Passover. Not that I think God condems us if we don't, but I think it's a good idea.

Amen, I am reading a Book "The Feasts of the Lord" By: Kevin Howard & Marvin Rosenthal that goes into a lot of what you just mentioned, I loved the part about the three Matzahs that has replaced the lamb and how some are broken representing the Broken body of Christ.
