Thursday 7-27-23 5th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, AV 9 5783, 36th. Summer Day

1 Corinthians 2

1 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.[a] 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[b]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[c] 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”[d]
But we have the mind of Christ.

I've always read that whilst the spiritual man will accept the things that come from God, he doesn't always lead by spirit, sure he can deliver a message that is spirit lead, but not always will he deliver a spirit lead message. Unless of cause he has matured and disciplined his flesh, quite often my dad would say this doesn't happen for most people until there 40. So I learnt to tame my tongue early.

It's surprising when you listen to your thoughts quite often the first thought can be the wrong one.

I don't think the title to this thread, The man without the spirit does not accept the spiritual things of God, should be put this way or concern you, having the holy spirit should not be about condemning those who don't.

Good morning

1 Corinthians 2:14
The phrase "the natural man receiveth not" is a biblical quote from 1 Corinthians 2:14123. It means that the natural man, or the person who is not guided by the Spirit of God, cannot understand the things of the Spirit of God because they seem foolish to him1. Such knowledge comes only through the Spirit1.

yes but you titled the thread the man without the spirit.

Christians have the spirit but are still a natural man.

The scripture you quote here is for the natural man with the spirit.

It not for the natural man without the spirit.

there's lots of scriptures refering to how believers don't always practice what they preach from the other scriptures such as taming the tongue or seeking and knocking before they act.

Only the natural man with the spirit can put this right daily.

So the title does not apply.

The man without the spirit can not do this.

Again the scripture you quote the natural man does not recieve the things of the spirit but the spiritual man does.

Only refers to the natural man with the spirit.
The natural is your flesh.

your flesh can never be spiritual.

Matthew 13:24-30

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Proverbs 28:13 KJV is a verse from the Bible. The verse reads: “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy”. The verse is about the importance of confessing and forsaking sins to receive mercy12.

And can't the enemy tare your wheat everyday

And do you allow the holy spirit or does the holy spirit prune or burn your flesh everyday.

The fire within does not burn out remember 😊

Remember also in the old testament they had to cleanse there flesh outwardly everyday.

Which was also a tare amongst there wheat (the flesh)

Remember also weeds can flower 😊 and make nice tea it's not always wise to burn them or think of them as an unwanted plant, they also make nice composs

There's a particular nice weed called a dandy lion

They take up many forms but the kids love to blow there seeds everywhere you know the ones you blew the feathers of as a kid.

Then there's dandy lions that sprout yellow buttercups

And then there the dandy lions that the creatures of all great and small love to munch
