There appears to be much confusion in this day and age concerning the ressurection of the saints, otherwise known as 'the rapture', and when it will happen. While many are aware of the Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib and Post-Trib theories of when the rapture will take place, few are aware that there is actually a 4th theory, called the 'Pre-Wrath' perspective which, in my mind, makes perfect sense both scripturally and logically. The following is a brief but basic rundown of what the Pre-Wrath Perspective. For those who like to learn, enjoy!

While the tribulation period does last for a span of 7 years, it will be divided into two 42 month periods. Many believe that there will be a very serious & bloody battle in the Middle East which result in a peace treaty being signed by Israel and the surrounding Muslim neighbors. It is this peace treaty which will be the start of the 7 years.

The first 3 1/2 years will be a time of peace but also a time of great religious confusion. The Apostle Paul teaches in 2 Thess. 2 that a great apostasy will occur that will result in many believers falling away from the faith. Much of this religious confusion will be due to the building of a 3rd Jewish temple on a shared Temple mount over run by Gentiles as predicted by John the Revelator in Revelation 11: 1-2. There will be great earthquakes and famines during this time. This will also be the time when God sends two 'witnesses' who will preach in the streets of Jerusalem warning the nation of it's wrong doing. I also believe that this will be the time in which the False Prophet begins to make a name for himself and will lay down the foundations for the one world religion which is to come.

After the 3rd Temple is built, at the midpoint of the 7 years, the Antichrist will assume control over the 3rd temple and declare himself as God. This is called the Abomination of Desolation. The Antichrist and his false prophet will then institute a form of one world government / currency which will be accompanied by a one world religion where all will be forced to worship the Antichrist and take his mark or die / starve. Many believers will face great persecution and martyrdom during this time. This will also be the time frame when the remnant 144,000 Jews will emerge and begin the evangelize the nation of Israel, proving that Jesus was indeed the Messiah and that the New Testament is true because of all of the prophecy which has been and is being fulfilled during this time.

The 3 1/2 years will climax when the Antichrist gathers his armies in the plains of Megiddo (Armegeddon) in preparation to completely wipe the rebellious nation of Israel off of the face of the earth only to be thwarted as Jesus himself returns in the clouds. It is at this point that the New Testament saints, both the dead and the living will be 'raptured' up to meet Jesus and the Old Testament saints who had already ascended into heaven with Jesus after the crucifixion (*see Matthew 27:50-54 for scriptural support of the prior ascension of the O.T. Saints). Jesus will then confront the Antichrist and overcome him not with conventional weapons but words of declaration as the bowls of God's wrath are poured out upon the earth to be followed by a renewed earth and the wedding supper of the Lamb which kicks off the Millennial reign of Christ on earth.

I have heard of that theory, Crossfire. I do not think it's true. I believe the bible teaches a pre-trib rapture.

That aside, I think your rundown of future events is pretty accurate.

God bless.

It doesn’t say it a 7 year tribulation, it says it’s a 3 ½ year great tribulation, Jesus said so.

And as for the two witnesses they prophesy during the great tribulation for the last 1260 days which is 3 ½ years and are raised at the last trumpet in the clouds according to Rv11.

The antichrist has power to continue for 42 months which is 3 ½ years the last 3 ½ years.

If the two end time prophets are prophesying in the first part of the 7 years which you said is a time of peace, then you have prophets running around that make plagues upon the earth and have power to kill anyone that try to hurt them.

Isaiah59:19 - When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

The enemy does not come in to do us evil until the middle of the 7 years, and then God lifts up the standard against him with the two end time witnesses and 144000

Nowhere in the Bible does it say it’s a 7 year tribulation. It’s a 7 year agreement with a 3 ½ year tribulation.

Yes, the last 3 1/2 years will be a period of great tribulation like the world has never seen before however, your perspective offers absolutely no explaination as to the great apostasy which precedes the emergence of the Antichrist. This apostasy will most likely parallel the building of the 3rd Temple which is / will be both irrelevant and illegitimate in the modern Church Age. Make no mistake, according to Rev. 11, the appearance of the two witnesses is in direct response to the building of the 3rd temple regardless if the two witnesses emerge during the first 3 1/2 years or the second.

if i wasnt partial preterist id be posttrib, if i wasnt that id be prewrath.
To take Pauls writing alone you have to get past the man of sin/apostacy
and him entering some kind of temple to even start.
But if you mess up and take Peters writing then youd be looking
for the eternal state. Sheesh there goes most of the views. :)
And we never even got To Jesus views.

The two end time witnesses don’t prophesy in the first 3 ½ years. They prophesy the last 3 ½ years.

If they did, then the last trumpet wouldn’t be the last trumpet. And mid-week the mystery of God wouldn’t be finished as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Rv10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Rv11:15 And the seventh angel sounded/ 7th trumpet.

Plus you would have a resurrection of the dead in the middle of the 7 years the two end time witnesses.

Plus the 7 trumpets, judgments/plagues/death/brimstone the judgments of God and from the two witnesses would all come down in the first 3 ½ years, as the 7th trumpet sounds when the two end time witnesses are dead.
Rv11:15 And the seventh angel sounded/ 7th trumpet.
Leaving nothing left plagues/death/brimstone/the judgments of God for the last 3 ½ years.

In Matt24 before Jesus talked about the great tribulation he called that time the beginning of sorrows, not tribulation.

Matt24:8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

As you can see the two end time witnesses prophesy for the last 3 ½ years are raised from the dead at the last trumpet in Rv11.and then the mystery of God wouldn’t be finished.

Hope this helps
