I have read an essay which argues that the Queen of Sheba (recorded in Kings and Chronicles) was actually a female pharaoh called Hatsepshut, who may also have been the sister of Solomon's Egyptian wife.

I have just one quibble. If this is true, then why is she not called the pharaoh or the queen of Egypt. Egypt is mentioned many times in the Bible, including references in both Kings and Chronicles. Why would Egypt be given a different name in the two passages which mention the queen who visited Solomon?

Whoever she was she was size enough to recognise when she found something good. She was willing to make a vast difficult journey to meet King Solomon because she knew that God had blessed him with amazing wisdom.

I don't know who the queen of Sheba was, I wonder myself where Sheba was, from what I've read online it was in Ethiopia.

I always thought she was from Ethiopia.

It is also said that she got pregnant with Salomon and that this line of him continued in Ethiopia... who knows.

The theories about she getting pregnant by Solomon is just speculative along with a few others theories floating around.

Important thing to know about the Queen of Sheba, is she recognized the truth and reality of God, unlike the religious leaders who opposed Jesus. As such, they would be condemned for their ignorant and defiant nature.

What can be learned from the story of the Queen of Sheba.

like King Solomon, believers are to show evidence of God’s favor in their lives, whatever their role, profession, or environment.

the reputation of believers should precede them by their godly words and actions, To be Christ’s ambassadors.

We all fall short of these sometimes, believe me I know been there done that lol, but don't sweat it learn from it, and proceed to doing better and growing to be more positive role models.

Hatsepshut was the co- regent of Thutmose 111 who became Pharaoh at age two. They reigned during the eighth dynasty.
Her Temple is near Luxor and is the best preserved building in the Country. I went there when on holiday in the early 90s
The building is very impressive and looks as if it was finished recently despite its age.
