More nonsense and mis-representing and "twisting" of what is really being said. Basically this called being "deceitful"....which of course is not sinning to one who never sins.

2 Peter 2:1-2

I am going to leave this thread and let those that are being deceitful to continue on with their malice and slander of others in the body of Christ.

We can do nothing against the truth - only for the truth.

The glorious gospel of the grace of Christ will not be stopped by those that mock or insult others. The gospel of the grace of Christ is the only thing that has the power for salvation to those who "believe." ( Romans 1:16-17 )

Let's believe in what Christ has done for us and walk in freedom and let His life manifest to a hurt and dying world. All is well...:)

The world can never make sense of the true church because it's part of God's kingdom & it can't be discerned with the carnal mind.

When the world can make sense of the church, it's because the church has become so worldly it no heavenly good.
BTW, ever noticed how the world is drawn to the megachurches?
so, how long has it been since you read John's Gospel. you know, chapter 3, I think v. 16...............

see, this is a religious mindset at it's finest- God only loves " good people ", so we should not care about non-believers. hard heart much?

To be honest this is an interesting flip, but it helps thankyou.

If the churches that turned worldly had known Christ they would not have needed to do
this to meet the lost they would be meeting them all the time.

But this is the difference between knowing the Lord and just becoming part of a group.

All believers would agree with this last statement.

The problem is unless you have let Christ into your heart, repented and dealt with sin,
are listening to your conscience and walking well, what life have you do show to a hurt
and dying world other than you are also hurt and dying yourself and have no clue what
to do about it.

It is funny that the parting excuse of this heresy is to reach out to the world, but you
have just destroyed the message and power of the gospel you are claiming to go out
with. I think this is from being in the church all ones life and being used to speak
from traditional faith which has obviously set sail a long time ago.

There's a difference between caring about sinners & caring about numbers. Changing your church to make it more "sinner friendly" is "purpose driven" theology.

What good is it to have hundreds, even thousands, if they're never gonna hear the truth? Anybody can kumbaya them with a stage service & a live band. He that wins souls is wise. He that multiplies sinners to look good is foolish & cares not about the Kingdom.

If you haven't been properly educated on the core principles of your faith it is very easy to be shaken once you start college.
We have found the greatest challenge to faith of young adults going to College is Evolution and worse Theistic Evolution[The belief that God used evolution in creation] . Because of this We have intentional focus on Creation with our kids and youth program. We don't go into apologetics and all that noise. We found some very good resources that show our kids how God is in every bit of modern science. We begin teaching them how to ask something very basic...If what the Bible says is true, then what would we expect to see in the world today.

We also teach them to say....There are no creation facts and no evolution facts, there are only facts....

We have seen the fruit of this approach in that they come home from School and do not have to go toe to toe with professors, they simply pick the sticks out of the hay and have a Bible worldview that people do not challenge....

Think Acts 4.13-14 here....
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in reply.

Nuff said....

Taking your whole post in consideration, but mainly this above.

We focus on Christ and His mind,PERIOD. Family and service comes to those who know His mind. These things are left up to the individual believer, we don't teach family and service. Every believer is a priest of their own life. Service and how they run their family is between God and them.

God has good works prepared for each and every believer. We don't know these good work's and can't teach them. But if the believer knows the mind of Christ that believer can serve and run his/her family exactly the way God intended for that individual.

Why focus on how to draw certain individuals? Draw WHOSOEVER.Teach the mind of Christ, and those who WANT the truth will come. And it may just be ONE person. because the majority don't want it. Why use a dog and pony show/scheme to draw those who just want their ears tickled, entertainment or relationship with people? Relationship with Him and His mind..........causes people to serve, sets the divine principles for family and relationship with people and Him.
This hands off family "philosophy" breeds private religious clique driven country clubs and not churches and violates many principles found in scripture...If I cannot let my church family know the crisis in my own family and you do not want to hear it...the Bible says bear one another burdens, not allow the high priest of the home to struggle on his own...

fruit does not matter to you and now it is impossible to teach people to use the gifts they have for good works...because we don't know what good works look....Are you for real or a troll? I mean honestly man....you skim the surface and call it deep, blow a feather and call it heavy...Not one thing you post is remotely Biblical or even in line with how Jesus grew world changers...but sure does focus a lot on SELF...

You seem to be pushing nothing but grace covered self improvements seminars....

It's a subtle difference.

1.There are those who claim they are making Jesus Christ Lord of their life.

2. There are those who claim that Jesus Christ is Lord of their life.

We Don't make Jesus Christ Lord of our lives. He IS Lord of our lives.

Do you see the difference? Anyone who says," Have you made Jesus Lord of your life." RUN.
Once again you refute the Bible which says No man can call Jesus Lord but by the Holy Spirit..

To suggest he Jesus automatically becomes your Lord without you letting him is predestination and takes away free choice....

Judging from the cobra venom you spit, I would never be a member of your church, I could not even begin to meet your expectations of self-righteousness....The world is drawn to megachurches because of statements like this: The world can never make sense of the true church because it's part of God's kingdom & it can't be discerned with the carnal mind.

God is involved in community and the everyone, how we relate talk.
The law was given to run a whole community. To know God is to know the Lord who
created community and relationships.

To not know this is to not know Christ.

How does the Holy Spirit convict a believer and one no longer in the world?

well, here is the thing about this- I live in a college town, thousands of people 30 and under. many of them have no or little church background. so, to them, leading with a turn or burn message will turn- them off. leading with the grace and goodness of God gets them in the door, then they can learn truth.

we know that judgement and hell are real, many of them do not. so our thoughts are " do not be angry at them because they do not know truth" tell them truth with love, and understanding , not beat them with the hell stick. that sends them out the door and back to the world's lies with their beliefs about religion pushed by their athesits professors , being reinforced, not debunked.

A great truth that's being overlooked is that the Bible says false teacherS.. to single one repeatedly shows error..
Who ever picks apart lyrics? Or the folks that single them, produce the videos, work the concerts?
Musicians and singers make tons of money while having questionable lyrics.. Even the ones who sings in truth, make money.. But people pick who they want to destroy and it's proves evil attack.. Distribution of truth should be balanced

Here's an example of what I mean by community outreach.

A family in our community had never attended church. One of our teenagers invited one of the children to our Wednesday night program. The parents were apprehensive, but agreed to let the child come. A couple of weeks later all of the children were in our program. This continued, our young adult class invited them, but they were not interested. They finally relented and came to the baptism (it took six months of prayer to get them to allow the baptism) of the oldest child. One Wednesday evening the mother stayed for the service. A few weeks later the father showed up. This happened about three years ago. Today that young family has accepted Christ and are an integral part of our program. As result of a young teenager believing what told us to do in the great commission, another family now lives for Christ, and the angels in heaven are rejoicing.

I will let those of you who believe that preaching hell fire and brimstone continue doing so. I would rather see people come to Christ, and enjoy the life that God has provided for them through the His son.

Gee, now I spit cobra venom. Boy, your true colors jumped out that time, didn't it? Why don't you act like a christian, at least you'll act nicer, lol.

Let's see..... how does a sinner act in an established church? They sit down & remain quiet, because they don't know how to act, nor know what to expect. Oh, sure they expect the church to be nice, kind, loving, etc. But they have NO CLUE what God will do in the service, because they cannot discern. They don't know what to expect in the service because it's totally foreign to them. Most won't know when it's their time God will deal with them. Christians may not know either, but they do expect God to do something good.

Distribution of the truth should be the goal of every Christian producer, and every buyer of Christian material. We should always filter what we hear through Gods word before accepting it as anything other than entertainment.

I know many evangelists and musicians. Most of them barely make enough money to pay their expenses. One common thing I find in them is that those who are not sold out for Christ, don't last long.

True story. A member of a local music group would always leave the sanctuary to take a smoke break when the preacher began his message. The church had an overflow crowd, so they turned on the outside speakers and this young man heard a message that touched his heart. At the close of the service he walked down the aisle and accepted Christ. He had sang in many churches, and many had been blessed. Some would toss him out on his ears as a false teacher, but God used him then and much more effectively today.

When we tear apart the kingdom in search of false teachers, Satan wins. When we teach the truth, God removes the false teacher, or more often than not, God changes the heart of the false teacher. In either case, God wins.
