The son sits at the right hand of the father. I just realized if someone sits at your right hand, and you are seated on a throne, that means you are seated side by side and of equal stature. Physically side by side.
In the Old Testament

The LORD is in his holy temple, The LORD's throne is in heaven: His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭11:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's:

But the earth hath he given to the children of men.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭115:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Eventually this became the situation as God watches mankind in earth

“God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭53:2-3‬ ‭

and even the priests he had chosen in Israel and Jerusalems prophets as well had turned to wickedness and idolatry. Eventually this left mankind without any intercession for sin and God saw this situation and it displeased him because there were some few over all the world that still feared and believed in him yet still they sinned and struggled and they couldn’t repent because there was no intercession

“Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey:

and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. ….And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:1-2, 12, 14-17, 19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So In the Old Testament there was no intercessor when man sinned because even the priests became sinful and crooked and veiled before God so rhier intercessions we’re rejected and it left man there with none to intercede with God for them like Moses had and then the prophets after ect

And so his answer is that he himself became a man( the son ) to intercede for mans sins as one of us the only one worthy of all of us to intercede with god.

a preist has to be a man that’s obedient in all of gods matters always faithfully.

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:22-23‬ ‭

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:69‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭7:56‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what this entire subject is about is our high priest and intercessor in heaven at the right hand of God who can intercede when we have sinned and save us from death.

“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:1-2, 6‬ ‭

And so now you have this

“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:34‬ ‭

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

remember the issue before in the Old Testament

“And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor:

And so his arm worked salvstion in earth
therefore his arm brought salvation unto him.”

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So instead of having an angel accusing man in heaven by the law without intercession , we have a man at the right hand of God interceding for mankind’s sin and for those who repent washing then all away as if they never were. By the sacrifice of his own blood poured out on the crucifix at Calvary. A day of mans victory over death and hell ….

….I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

“O sing unto the LORD a new song; For he hath done marvellous things: His right hand, and his holy arm, Hath gotten him the victory.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭98:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We needed a perfect man to intercede and so he became a perfect man to intercede.

the imagery of him at Gods right hand reflects the high priest working intercession in the holy of holies for mankind

It has always meant that the "right hand" of the king's throne is the favored advisor or counselor. In that era, the king's power and rulership were absolute. Anyone who advised the king was subordinate to him. Equality of status had nothing to do with it.

However, the three Persons of the ONE God are equal in status but different in functions--Father as Originator, Jesus as Agent, and Spirit as the immediate Actor of God's will. They are and always will be the ONE God who LAUNCHED humans, all of whom were LOST when they rebelled; who LOVED humans enough to send Jesus; who LANDED believers on Jesus, the Rock; and who leads believers into LOVING lives like him.

all God but separate entities
Light is a great analogy for the trinity.......Needless to say, right?

Light is one phenomenon but has three distinct properties.

Radiating. Neither seen nor felt. God the Father.
Illuminating. Seen and felt. God the Son.
Heat. Felt but not seen. God the Holy Spirit.

All are distinct , but all are one light.

John 9:5: "When I am in the world, I am the Light of the World"

Sometimes I pray to father sometimes I pray to Jesus… I use them interchangeably…. I suppose that’s OK
Christians do have a 'mark' for prayer. We pray to the Father, through the Holy Spirit, in The Lord Jesus Christ's name.

I used to pray that way exclusively, but I find it to be repetitive so I mix it up to make it more personal

If you look at the Christian worship songs, they’re used almost interchangeably

Well, God set the standard. So we should follow His rules. I have a set standard on how I talk to my wife. It isn't repetitive though. Always different things to talk about, but I talk to her in the set standard. Christ like. Kind. Thoughtful. Listening. And when I fail, I know it.

Anyone who advised the king was subordinate to him.

1Cor 11:3 . . the head of Christ is God.

1Cor 15:28 . .Then the Son himself will be made subject to Him who put
everything under him

NOTE: The right hand is the position of the firstborn son. (Gen 48:13-19)

Now of course Jesus had many ancestors preceding him, but the position of
the firstborn isn't restricted to the son born first. It is quite transferrable to a
junior, e.g. e.g. Ishmael to Isaac (Gen 21:10-12) Esau to Jacob (Gen 25:23)
Reuben to Joseph (Gen 49:3-4, 1Chr 5:1) and Manasseh to Ephraim. (Gen
48:13-14)

So:

Col 1:13-15 . . The Father has delivered us from the power of darkness,
and translated us into the kingdom of His dear son: in whom we have
redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the
image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Heb 1:1-2 . . God has at the end of these days spoken to us by means of a
son, whom He appointed heir of all things.

Christ's position as God's firstborn son elevates him to a rank above his
ancestors; even above David.

Ps 110:1 . . The Lord said unto my lord: Sit thou at my right hand, until I
make thine enemies thy footstool. (cf. Matt 22:42-45)

Why not? In Scripture it is very definitely a LITERAL throne, albeit a heavenly throne like none othe

Re posting this article below from my Post above -----it could be a literal chair but it could also be used metaphorically ------- can't see God getting tired to have to sit Down in a chair ---but it makes sense to me that throne here represents His domain ----not a literal Big Chair ------that is just my view -----your entitle to your view

This scripture is taken from this article below
God is seated on his holy throne” (Psalm 47:8;

Hebrew word for seated here

Strong's Concordance
yashab: to sit, remain, dwell ,abides , abode , inhabit , lives

I say ------So this word seated doesn't mean just ----sit ----it has other meanings ----

Hebrew word for throne here

Strong's Concordance
kisse or kisseh: seat of honor, throne ,authority , chair , official seat

I say ----So we see here that Throne can mean ----authority ----as well as mean ----chair

The article says in the first sentence ----God's Throne refers to heaven ----so this would be used as a Metaphor here and not a literal seat that God sits in -------so you need to research the scripture with Throne in it to get the true meaning of how it is used in that piece of scripture as it could mean not a chair ----

What is the throne of God?

There are several references to the throne of God in the Bible. Jesus calls heaven “God’s throne” in Matthew 5:34, recalling God’s statement in Isaiah 66:1, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.” Other references to God’s throne are found in 2 Chronicles 18:18; Psalm 11:4; Hebrews 8:1; 12:2; Revelation 1:4; 3:21; 4:2; and many other verses.

A throne is a special seat reserved for a monarch. When the Bible speaks of God’s “throne,” the emphasis is on God’s transcendence, dignity, and sovereign rule. The fact that His throne is in heaven further underscores the transcendent nature of God’s existence.

The throne of God need not be thought of as a literal throne. God the Father is incorporeal (John 4:24).
Not having a physical body, God does not literally “sit.” References to a divine throne are akin to biblical allusions to God’s “hand” or “mouth” or “eyes”—they are anthropomorphisms, descriptions of God couched in human terms out of deference to our limited knowledge. God has to describe Himself in ways we can understand.

Isaiah sees the Lord “high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple” (Isaiah 6:1). At that time, the prophet was having an inspired vision. God’s throne (and His robe) are not to be taken as literal, physical objects. Rather, God was communicating to Isaiah the magnificence, splendor, and exaltation of His Being.

Other descriptions of the throne of God are found in other prophetic visions, e.g., in those of Ezekiel and John.

God’s throne is a place of power and authority. In 2 Chronicles 18:18, the prophet Micaiah relates his vision of God’s throne room, in which spirit beings stand in attendance. Compare this to Job 1:6, where God demands answers from the angelic beings summoned there.

God’s throne is a place of majesty and honor. The Bible says that, when Jesus ascended to heaven, He “sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). There is no higher place than heaven. God is the King of heaven, and Jesus holds the place of honor at God’s right hand.

God’s throne is a place of perfect justice. “He has prepared His throne for judgment” (Psalm 9:7; cf. 89:14). The final judgment, described in Revelation 20, is held before “a great white throne” (verse 11).

God’s throne is a place of sovereignty and holiness. “God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne” (Psalm 47:8; cf. 103:19). He does whatever He pleases, and all He does is good.

God’s throne is a place of praise. John’s vision of heaven includes a scene in which a “new song” is sung in praise to the One who occupies the throne (Revelation 14:3). Around the throne, the praise of God is surely “glorious” (Psalm 66:2).

God’s throne is a place of purity. Only the redeemed, those who have been granted the righteousness of Christ, will have the right to stand before His throne (Revelation 14:5).

God’s throne is a place of eternal life. God is the Source of life. In heaven, John sees “the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Revelation 22:1).

God’s throne is a place of grace. Not only does the throne of God represent judgment for the unbeliever, but it also represents mercy and grace for His children. “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Inside the Jewish temple was the Ark of the Covenant, which was a “copy of the true” (Hebrews 9:24), and it had a “mercy seat” where God’s presence would appear (Leviticus 16:2, ESV).

One day, all creation will bow to the majesty of God’s throne (Philippians 2:9–11). The regal beings surrounding the throne of God will “lay their crowns before the throne and say: ‘You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power’” (Revelation 4:10–11
