Unfortunately this is so, but I do believe people are desiring truth and trying
to reconcile scripture. Would that more would value others over being right.
Valuing others means telling them the Truth. Unfortunately when people
substitute the meaning of a word for it's opposite, they are not likely to listen.

Many threads are like that... it is the nature of the forum beast. But rest assured... if a thread does not
go on long enough to become like that, someone will surely eventually start up another thread regarding
the same issue that has been hashed over countless times before, and the merry-go-round starts up again...

Half right. Speaking the truth should be done in love. This is what is generally missing. This accounts for all the clanging.

Really, since the Sabbath was God's gift to us and our Jesus is the Lord of that Sabbath gift if a Christian wants to honor their union with God on Sabbath, feel free.

I assure you God won't hold it against you. :)

Though he may have a question or three for those who condemned you for it.

"That's only for the Jews!"

Never let that angry opposition dissuade you. As Jesus said, those things that formally divided us are done away. We are ALL ONE in Christ. :)

The Sabbath was God's day of rest. He had created our reality and then he stopped to let our history play out. That is how He rested because God does not need to rest. We are living in God's 7th day (the Sabbath) and we should keep our every days holy by loving God, worshiping Him, thanking him, and obeying Him by loving all people as we love ourselves on a daily basis.
We should always love God and Love our neighbour, we should always worship Him.
The sabbath is a wonderful gift.
But it also is a command. It is for our good.
Because of tradition and worldly pressures people don't want to change.

That is why most didn't accept Christ when He came the first time.

Everything that God does perfectly the devil needs to distort.

God gave the 7th day and it was made holy. Gen And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it:..
The devil changed it to Sunday, and said it's not something we need to remember anymore.

The Bible is clear that it is the 7th day and we are not told to stop keeping it.

A question for the Catholic church....
Q. Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?
A. Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; —she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.

Notice how the change was made by the Catholic church with no scriptural authority.

Our faith needs to be built on the word of God not on the traditions of men.

We also instruct to handle correctly the Word of Truth 2Tim2:15. There is a bigger picture in the Bible.

Nations outside of Israel were not familiar with the Sabbath ie Egypt, Persian, Syrian etc..christians only know of the Sabbath because of the Bible which is a Jewish Book ie Torah, OT, NT

Those commandments are replaced by the two greatest commandments of Love God and Love neighbors.

Not by the old way of the letter But the New way of the Spirit.
Not replaced, the whole bible hangs on these two principles, but the details of those principles are not deleted which would defeat the purpose. The Spirit violates no laws. 1 John 3:24 John 14:15-16 Acts 5:32
