God defined the Ten Commandments as "My commandments" Exo 20:6 right in the unit of Ten that He wrote and He spoke.
Is there someone greater than He to define His law?
Did that change in the NT?
Not according to Jesus
Mat 15:3 He (Jesus) answered and said to them,
“Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? 4
For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; (quoting right from the Ten Commandments) and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 5 But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me
is a gift
to God”— 6 then he need not honor his father [
a]or mother.
’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. 7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
8 ‘These people [
c]draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with
their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”
Revelation 22:14 Blessed
are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
What commandments?
15 But
outside are dogs and sorcerers (Breaking commandment #1
Exodus 20:3) and sexually immoral (breaking commandment #7
Exodus 20:14) and murderers (breaking commandment #6
Exodus 20:13) and idolaters (breaking commandment #2
Exodus 20:4-6), and whoever loves and practices a lie (breaking # 9
Exodus 20:16 or any of them 1 John 2:4). The commandments are a unit of Ten
Exodus 34:28 and James says you break one commandment quoting from the Ten we break them all.
James 2:10-12
Seems like your disagreement is not with me.
