and to add to what Sparkman said, if I could, there are also a lot of prideful people who want to somehow someway take credit for their salvation. it is not Jesus and me, it is just Christ.

Not in the least. I would prefer not being around men many times and I have no interest in boasting before them. It doesn't interest me. My most treasured moments are between just me and the LORD. Being fruitful and living holy is not about uplifting yourself, it is merely the proof that God lives within a person. For Paul says know not your own selves. He says examine your own selves and prove that Christ be in you unless you be reprobate.

Don't condemn people of sin, that's what the devil does, but don't condone sin either because it wasn't cheap to set us free and is a-poised to what God is.
The bible does not teach us in the New Testament, "Our righteousness is given to us by christ Jesus." Rather, it teaches us, "Our righteousness is given to us by God." You may say, "that's just semantics." But it is crucial to see the difference. We need to truly understand our death toll. The totality and absoluteness of our death in transgressions and sins. We need to separate our old self from the new man in the Spirit of life. Not allowing our own personal experiential history merit cause for change in the plan God has written and finished in Christ Jesus. The sinful nature must be put to death in our influences in determining the quality of Christ Himself.

We will never be fixed; by grace, or by anything else. We will never warrant a label of righteousness on our own --period.It is only given thru a certain venue: Christ Jesus [Whom we never lay aside to rest] He is the way, the truth, and the life. It's all in that condescend God/man. It is understanding the quality of the robe you must wear that brings understanding to all of Scriptures overall view of truth. Many say.." I try...But I can't do it quit that much..." Nor should you think that you can, for you are dead. But You need to ask,.. "are you Christ able to do it that much....?" Then Scripture comes out screaming at you and the Spirit of God thru the Holy Spirit will testify to those scriptures as well, of just how much quality is in that robe you have around you.

The amalgamation of Christ's walk with you will bring an immersive totality to your victory found in Him and you will become fruit- bearing as a result.. He will fight for you, He will give you understanding, He will take away doubt, and fear, and timidity. He will be in control of the new man [place your name here]. But He will give you confidence, only, in the truth of His Word and the power He delivers is in the fruit of His character and demeanor.

This power is stupid to the world, it doesn't give sinful nature enough respect to help their dry bones heal. There focus is inward not upward. Yet, God heals our dry bones and puts flesh on them and tendons and has us walk in His light of complete and peaceful victory, untouched by sinful natures dry bone problem, as we put on the robe of Christ. We need not shore up the dam with God, we need to die and be reborn into The quality of what lives in our soul. There is no more balancing act, there is only denying Satan's knock at the door, and Christ merged with you will conquer this as well as you obey Him [underline obey]. This is where knowing Christ's quality means everything.

It's funny , when we fear nothing but God, we fear nothing else. But when we do not fear God, we fear everything else. And from that fear comes human reasoning over Holiness driven desires found in Gods message brought to us by Christ Jesus. Our heart becomes transparent by the questions we ask, and the demeanor by which we ask them.

Marcr made a very telling comment on this thread. When a truly born again christian commits wilfull sin they suffer for doing so. It can be no other way for they have been born again. They will have no rest, no peace until they bow the knee and submit to the way God wants them to follow. Hence grace does not permit a licence to sin, for God had it all figured out. If only some of his children understood that

Jason, you put the emphasis on what man must do, I put the emphasis, as did king David on Gods unfailing love. The truly born again christian has no licence to sin. They are acutely aware of all their failings. They cling to that unfailing love, shown by Christ dying for undeserving sinners, for that is all they have, being acutely aware of their short comings according to the literal letter.
You cannot be good enough for God, it is impossible

My message to you is not on what a man must do. It is in knowing what to leave behind. My acute awareness of failings was only meant by God to get me to understand my need for His answer, an answer that makes me good enough for God. That answer is me IN Christ Jesus. And anything less than that won't make it. As much as God loves you, you must understand your history must align with His answer. For as much as it sounds great that Gods love is so grand He has given you access to Himself by that grace alone, you must understand that Gods righteousness is as apart of Him as love is. Sin, not a spec, will survive His presence. Let go of the old "acute failings" and let in the perfection of Christ. Gods forgiveness will never leave you if this is your stand. God is many things. Love is but one of them. His way for us unto Himself is only one bridge, have no doubt about that> It is Christ Jesus our Lord. And God has a different view of Christ than acutely aware of His failings. God wants you to know this plan is for you. He loves you that much. There's the vastness of His love!

My heart bleeds ...but, from the heart of love and not a focus of mans doings, comes a heart concerned for anyone that may not have much, but be at risk of having even that taken.

"For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them." Matthew 25:29.

We can only truly love God as he wants us to love him when we know we are secure with him for Christ, not us is our righteousness before God.

Now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself heb 9:26

For as Jesus said:
The worlds sin is unbelief in me john 16:9 christians do not have that unbelief
God bless. Don't limit Gods love for you
