I have seen a need to cite this TOJ frequently lately, so how can I not include it at the divine #7 slot?

TOJ #44: Ask/seek/knock. [MT 7:7-11/LK 11:9-13] These three synonyms are three, four and five letter words for
God's requirement for salvation. Ask what is true, seek salvation, and knock on heaven’s door. (See HB 11:6)

The parallel passage in Luke makes this clear, because instead of “good gifts” it says the Holy Spirit will be given
to those who ask
. Thus, sincerely seeking salvation is regarded by God as righteousness (cf. RM 4:3),
probably because God knows that were a seeker given the opportunity to hear the full gospel,
he/she would believe and be saved or sanctified {JN 17:17}.

I guess this is a good place to end, but I do want to let you know about my offer
regarding our website <truthseekersfellowship.com> to consider adding your comments
at appropriate places, but please try to adhere to the parameters I set for myself, including:

1. Append Scripture references to support logical inferences.
2. Attempt to harmonize opposing viewpoints instead of being argumentative.
3. Be pithy (using acronyms in the list), but address questions obviously begged by your comment.

Thanks, LIC, GWH

TOJ #205: Witness for Jesus to the world. [ACTS 1:8] Jesus told the apostles (minus Judas and before Paul) to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (ACTS 1:4-5) before beginning to evangelize the world. Unfortunately, only the ministry of Paul in the area westward to Asia Minor, Greece and Rome had a significant lasting effect. The TOJ faded from memory in Palestine and were perverted into ascetic monasticism in Egypt. Thus, there was a spiritual void that was filled by Mohammed’s Koran and campaign of conquest a few centuries later. (See TOJ #164.)

This concludes my enumeration and commentary regarding the TOJ.
May the reader find this effort a helpful boost for understanding ultimate reality
and for coping with life on earth. Amen.

The complete TOJ are posted on <truthseekersfellowship.com>
for everyone to utilize as a resource. (LIC :^)
With Easter approaching I would like to append the lyrics from classic hymn:

Low in the grave He lay, Jesus my Savior!
Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain
And He lives forever with His saints to reign
He arose! (He arose) He arose! (He arose)
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus, my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!

(Chorus)

Death cannot keep his prey, Jesus, my Savior!
He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain
And He lives forever with His saints to reign
He arose! (He arose) He arose! (He arose)
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Another Easter favorite of mine:

1 When I survey the wondrous cross
on which the Prince of glory died,
my richest gain I count but loss,
and pour contempt on all my pride.

2 Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast
save in the death of Christ, my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them through his blood.

3 See, from his head, his hands, his feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down.
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown?

4 Were the whole realm of nature mine,
that were a present far too small.
Love so amazing, so divine,
demands my soul, my life, my all.
