It all about the heart..
If i get baptised and my heart is not right (wrong motives, unsurrendered heart, not born of Christ), the baptism is not worth anything.
On the other side if your heart is right and you are unable to be batised God will acount Jesus's baptism to you.
Do all that you can to be baptised , but make sure your heart is right.

hear and believe what the gospel declares and it will heal the heart as we persevere faith is what leads us in all we do and it comes from hearing the truth from Christ
“And he said unto them,
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

“But
they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord,
who hath believed our report? So then
faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by
the word of God.”
Romans 10:16-17
That changes our heart
“For
the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 KJV
Jesus didn’t say “ if you don’t get baptized your lost “ because that would make it a requirement a work like the law
hes telling us what will save us and inviting us to believe and act it’s the principle of faith
Of God says something will save me it will so I’m going to believe it and act
hes working inside us through hearing and believing and growing in the gospel his work in us will change
our Will and our actions from sinners to saints
“For
it is God which worketh in you both
to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Philippians 2:13
were truly saved by faith and Baptism for repentance and remission of sins is of faith
