While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Act 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Cornelius recieved the Holy Spirit without water baptism. So maybe the Baptism God says in ONE BAPTISM is this one Cornelius had... The HOLY GHOST FELL ON ALL THEM,,, I think this was the FIRST GENTILE to be baptized with the Holy Spirit... and as I see the JEWS then used their tradition of waterbaptism,,,,
Paul SAVED thousands, and he himself says,,,, HE WAS NOT SEND to baptize (with water) and we all know Paul was an Apostle, so defenatelty the Holy Spirit saved THOUSANDS without water baptism through Paul...
Zonie I obey God, and the moment GOD SENDS A PERRSON TO BAPTIZE ME WITH WATER, I WILL GO! I do not have to wonder if I should go or not.... I WILL KNOW... I know God's voice and NEVER did HE tell me to go get boptized with water...
Zone were you baptized in water? So there is one baptism for you.... and were you baptized in Holy Spirit as well. The second baptism for you.... And God says there is only one... So if you had the water, can you still get the Holy Sprit one... Samaria did. but If you do get the WATER BAPTISM, is that a gaurentee you will get the Holy Spirit one? Simon in Samaria did not!
But if you DO GET the Holy Spirit one, this ONE BAPTISM, what happens then? Just compare the two in Acts 8. Samaria...
There is no comparison. The one did NOTHING, and the SPIRIT ONE DID EVERYTHING...
Zone what does the water baptism do to my state of salvation? Nowhere do i see Gos teach we should be baptized with water,,, NOT ONE SINGLE VERSE... Says,,,, GO AND BAPTIZE IN WATER... NOT ONE!
Do not change the words just show me ONE VERSE that says we have to be baptized with WATER, just ONE!
Zone the words WATER and BAPTIZE has to be in the verse.... Not the one John the baptist says he baptize with water,,, then he points to the ONE BAPTISM GOD SENT TO US FOR SALVATION.... The SPIRIT AND FIRE BAPTISM... That one I know but that one PROOFS the HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM IS THE ONLY BAPTISM GOD REFERS TOO IN EPH 4.
And Zone BE PERFECT is the ONLY Gospel that does not contradict a single verse in the bible, NO other doctrine stands up...
Only a PERFECT person is IN GOD. No other person can enter... Jesus makes sure of it. He says if you do not PASS through Him you are not HIS.... And we know He said....BE PERFECT, EVEN AS THOU FAHTER IN HEAVEN IS PERFECT....
I promise you.... HE MEANT EVERY WORD... He know what HIS WORK WILL ACOMPLISH WHEN HE FINISHES A SAINT...
why do you have to wait for God to send someone to you?
are you kicking at the goads Cobus?
or do you know the commandment, but won't submit to it?
Acts 9:18
17So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." 18And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized; 19and he took food and was strengthened. Now for several days he was with the disciples who were at Damascus
so, you haven't repented; haven't been baptized in water; and haven't been baptized with the Holy Spirit either.
since you said no one receives salvation and is added to His Body the church until they are perfect.
why should i listen to someone who hasn't obeyed the SIMPLE Gospel commandments of the Great Commission; doesn't have the Spirit; therefore is not born from above; therefore is yet a natural man?
Matthew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
see Cobus, you can't have it both ways.
this came from PETER who was sent to the upper room to wait for the POWER from on High...so that he would be authorized to bring YOU the infallible Gospel of your salvation: forgiveness of sins and a new life in Christ.
Acts 2:38
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 19:5
On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Galatians 3:27
for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
John 3
22After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He was spending time with them and baptizing. 23John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there; and people were coming and were being baptized
John 4:2
although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized,
but his disciples.

Baptism
Main article: Baptism in early Christianity
Early Christian beliefs regarding baptism probably predate the New Testament writings. It seems certain that numerous Jewish sects and certainly Jesus and his disciples practised baptism, which became integral to nearly every manifestation of the religion of the Jews. John the Baptist had baptized many people before baptisms took place in the name of Jesus Christ. Many of the interpretations that would later become orthodox Christian beliefs concerning baptism can be traced to apostles such as Paul, who likened baptism to being buried with Christ in his death (Romans 6:3,4; Colossians 2:12). On the basis of this description, it was supposed by some modern theologians that the early Christians practised baptism by submersion (Matthew 3:13-17). This interpretation is debated between those Christian denominations who advocate immersion baptism exclusively and those who practice baptism by affusion or aspersion as well as by immersion. Yet the Didache, one of the earliest Christian writings on liturgical practices, mentions that baptism may occur by pouring water on the head three times using the trinitarian formula (i.e., in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit).

Interpretation of the baptismal practices of the early church is important to groups such as Baptists and Anabaptists, who believe that infant baptism was a later development, yet the early Christian writings mentioned above, which date from the 2nd and 3rd century clearly show that the early Christians did maintain such practice.[14]

Baptism with the Holy Spirit (alternatively Baptism in the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost) in Christian theology is a term describing baptism (washing or immersion) in or with the Spirit of God and is frequently associated with the bestowal of spiritual gifts and empowerment for Christian ministry.[1][2][3] While the phrase "baptism with the Holy Spirit" is found in the New Testament and all Christian traditions accept it as a theological concept, each has interpreted it in a way consistent with their own beliefs on ecclesiology and Christian initiation.[4] One view holds that the term refers only to Pentecost, the "once-for-all" event for the whole Church described in the second chapter of the Book of Acts.[5] Another view holds that the term also refers to an experience of the individual believer distinct from salvation and initiation into the Church.
Before the emergence of the holiness movement in the mid-19th century and Pentecostalism in the early 20th century, most denominations believed that Christians received the baptism with the Holy Spirit either upon conversion and regeneration[5] or through rites of Christian initiation. Since the growth and spread of Pentecostal and charismatic churches, however, the belief that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is an experience distinct from regeneration has come into increasing prominence.[6]
