Are you born again of Gods Holy Spirit?
Are you daily walking with
the LORD JESUS, feeding on Him through His word, and living in accordance to His Word?

If so, you will be immediately convicted of failure.
Your sorrow, contrite heart and repentance is there, and the blood of sprinkling.

Hebrews 12:22-24 KJV
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

[23] To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

[24] And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

If your past sin has been forgiven and settled, then
Start confessing to God, daily.

All daily accounts must be settled.
❤️ 🎶cleansed by the blood of the crucified one🎵

1 Corinthians 15:31 KJV
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
What if you have a bad day and aren't walking in the Spirit and sin but die before you confess. What happens to you?

Of course it does. I'm asking is forgiveness conditioned upon confession. In other words, if a sin is not confessed, is that sin forgiven?
From that scripture, I'd say the norm is to confess to be forgiven. There are a handful of verses where sin is forgiven without confession and I would consider those special occasions and not the norm.

If not, are there any eternal consequences for the unconfessed sin?
Only God has that answer.

2 Timothy 2:19 KJV
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Romans 6:15 KJV
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Only God has that answer.
1 John 1:9 doesn't say God forgives us because we confess. It says God is faithful and just to forgive us when we confess.
Forgiveness was accomplished on the cross when Jesus shed His blood for the remission of our sins. His sacrifice satisfied God's wrath toward us because of our sin. Because God accepted the sacrifice, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins when we ask Him to. Faithful because He is keeping His promise. Just because His wrath has been satisfied.

If God forgives on the basis of confession, we don't need a Savior. Anyone can confess. Only Jesus can satiate God's wrath.

Why not just answer the question? What happens to a person who dies with unconfessed sin?

Mark 2:5 KJV
When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

Did the “sick of the palsy” confess?

John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
[5] And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

It seems this man didn’t confess his sin either.

John 5:14 KJV
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

How about this one Cameron!

Ezekiel 3:18-21 KJV
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
[19] Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
[20] Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

[21] Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Sure it does.

It says God is faithful and just to forgive us when we confess.

It says IF we confess. The implication is that we need to confess to be forgiven. There are some isolated instances where sin was forgiven without any confession but those are rare in scripture.

No, because confession only is valid because the price was paid. We still need to confess. The only examples of sin being forgiven is when the person does something very good and pleasing to God. In any case, we have to do something to be forgiven. The cross did not make it so we are automatically forgiven.

And what if a man fulfilled all the requirements of the law, which would deliver his soul as well as render him to surely live, also fulfilled the requirement that renders those that do it to surely die, which is sin, even though He has no sin? What does He get?

What does He get?
You might think, well, He'd inherit all of heaven and earth and all souls that believe on Him He will raise up to be with Him at the last day... I mean, who could deny Him?

but yet...

Amen!!!

Luke 18:13-14 KJV
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

[14] I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

The story doesn't say. We do know that Jews did relate illness and disease with sin. I'm inclined to believe he did not, however. The story isn't dealing with forgiveness directly, but faith. Well, and the divinity of Jesus.
