News thread about the two reporters shot. You may not agree with me but you will agree with me on the battle of "can you get saved after you die" So far Im the only one telling this guy no.
Mostly that is because some of us consider who is making such statements, and simply "Ignore" the commentary.

That's a false witness. Check out Calmador's recent posts. He's not completely nor even partially misogynistic. He's amazingly biblical for one so young actually.

Just because he doesn't get all that women are yet doesn't mean he hates them or thinks less of them. He hasn't seen many women witness yet because... well? Look at his age. Say he's been a believer for half his life. How often did you see anyone witness in all of 14 years? For that matter, how well did you understand men at the ripe old age of 28? lol

In truth, he's actually agreeing with you, so don't go all judgmental on a person simply because of one post.
Let's see! He starts out by stereotyping all women as not knowing how to share the real gospel. And maybe some men!

Then he compounds the problem by saying it is because women are romantic! Not in my house! I watch Sci Fi, my husband watches women's channel movies!

And if there is any truth to what he is saying, it is only because women in the church have had to live with this lie of "roles" which was something which occurred after the fall, which Christ came to set us free from the results of sin!

i think many women and men do not know how to properly share the gospel, because they gave not been taught. In Seminary, our prof, who has led thousands of people to Christ around the world, said that we need to present both God's love and judgment for sin. But he warned that if you presented judgment first, they probably wouldn't stay around long enough to hear the love part in our culture.

So in the Video, The Women wants people to accept the Gospel without actually telling/Teaching them what it truly is?
I honestly dont think it has much to do with gender, i think it has more to do with Whose teaching them, who are they fellowship with, and how much of the bible they actually Read. Women are supposed to be led spiritually by their fathers until they marry, then the husband is to lead them spiritually. So the Father, or Husband or Both are at blame here too for not leading her.
What they are trying to do with this God is ONLY Love, No Hate, No Judgement, No Justice is trying to lure in the non-believers into accepting a watered down version of Christianity, and they never truly understand what it really is, So they constantly reject it. You must give it to them Completely and if they leave, at least you know where they stand. They Must repent, and that requires people to do something many dont want to do.
I don't think gender is a cause either...

If you ever talk to people who think like this... you gotta be tactful because I think they believe judgement is evil. I like to think of a policeman or a judge.. or good parenting to show how judgement is good. Justice also is good.. because then evil goes rampant without anyone stopping it or punishing it. Some people have a hard time seeing how these concepts are good. Be tactful, be tactful

I've rejoiced in the Lord with many such women. Then I attended seminary and encountered an entirely new breed of woman -- man-hating-feminists. They spewed nonsense such as, God is a woman, Jesus was a gender-less human being, and everything wrong in the world is the White man's fault. So much love in seminary.
Woe! That sounds like a horrid Seminary! We had less women than men, and lots of long talks about women in ministry with the women, but not a single man hater! Probably closer to valuing each person as a unique creation of God!

You have a very practiced, experienced and skillfully polished professional radio talking head here, speaking to an honest woman just trying to express her heart. I found it especially interesting that he specifically told her we are commanded to go and preach that people are going to Hell.

We actually weren't.

We are commanded to "make disciples" and "to teach, to them, what Jesus taught." 90% of what Jesus taught was The Kingdom and love for others.

I think there might be some truth in what the Bible said... "We love Him because He first loved us"... not because He threatened us, and scared us into hoping to purchase some fire insurance. As she said, that comes, but it should not be the main thrust of what they remember about Jesus from our efforts.
I was looking more so at the girl than the preacher. Maybe the guy is wrong... actually, I don't like him so far because of how responded in one of his videos. I don't think he's polished.

The girl's opinion of how to evangelize is really what I'm looking at. Some people don't believe in evangelizing it seems... or if they do evangelize, they don't DARE mention hell or how God has a judgement on sin. That's not right. I think tactfulness is great but that doesn't mean we don't tell people about their sins.

You used the word threatened... A police man threatens criminals when criminals are in the middle of murder or rape. A father threatens a thief who is about to hurt his children. Threats are not necessarily bad. Try the word punishment... because God does punish us like a parent...

Proverbs 3:11-12

[SUP]11 [/SUP]My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

^^^ God punishes us "Just as a father"

Sometimes people learn the hard way... through consequences and in the end, God punishing us is so that we can get right again. I'm sure you know the story of the prodigal son. Also, when Nebuchadnezzar was proud God made Nebuchadnezzar go insane and act like a beast for years... At the end of this punishment... the King humbled himself and realized who God is and worshiped him. Daniel 5:20-21

I think when God threatens someone... he's either trying to straighten up someone up or he's getting rid of evil.

The OP is completely misogynistic! I know of 2 women friends of mine who are gifted as evangelists! One witnesses to everyone she meets. They get the whole gospel, including sin and the resulting judgment. She led 6 people to the Lord a few weeks ago in one week. She is a housewife, and these are people she gets to know standing in line at the grocery store. Those 6 just got baptized, and are in a Bible study she teaches. And English is her second language! I've never seen a man do that!

The gospel knows no gender. God is the giver of the gift of evangelism, and it doesn't matter if the person is male or female. As for the video, it won't download to my phone. But I am sure just as many men do the soft sell as women! If they witness at all!
I'm so not a misogynist. I don't hate women. Please don't think of me as a misogynist.

I'm sure men can give the no sin, no hell, no judgment gospel too.

You really cant generalize. I have female pastors in my family and they are very straightforward about the Word. Im getting my backside kicked on another thread because I believe the Bible supports capital punishment. Im being told how heartless I am.So apparently not all woman have this affliction.
I said "some" not all women. I don't think I was generalizing.

Female pastors... that's for another thread.

Well most open-air preachers do nothing but yell condemnations at people and set a terrible example for christians. Like chastizing people never is going to win them to Christ. Instead youre just pushing them away.
Condemnations shouldn't be given by men, but men should preach God's judgements... men should preach what are sin's consequences and the solution, Jesus Christ's sacrifice.

I converted because of God's condemnations... so... I didn't get pushed away. My problem with justice is that there was a lot of bad things in history that I detested. I hated that a lot of people were slaughtered by crusaders and settlers in south America... central and north America..

I hated that with boiling blood... God says, nobody escapes justice. The bad guys will get what's coming to them and that made me respect God. The cross is nice but the lake of fire is what brought me to the cross.

I definitely didn't say all women are like this. If you look below, you'll see my original post with highlighted words which show me saying some women.

Title of thread: The way some women tend to see evangelizing

"First of all, I haven't seen the show much at all. However, this video shows what I think.

There are women in the church... and men too (more so women from my experience) who want to avoid the idea of God's judgment on sin or hell. When you tell people about the gospel.... God's judgment is unavoidable. God's judgement is either implied or you may have to explain it when you tell people that Jesus loved you enough to die on the cross. Jesus dying on the cross for people... implies he died for a reason. That reason is because he had to take people's punish because of their sin.

Yet, often there's this sensitive, romantic, love only, no judgment gospel that some women and men seem to think is the way to go.

I believe it's because such people want to be on the good side and make everyone happy instead of telling them God's word in full.

I also think this is very dangerous as it doesn't give the full word of God and may make a false religion if God's judgment on sin is never talked about.

Thoughts?

Again... I haven't seen the show much at all. However, this video shows what I think."

Calmador, at the very least that was inappropriate, please overlook it.... she had some "stuff" going on about the same time she wrote this and I am expecting she will get back around and clarify what she meant or apologize.

He didn't say any if that. And again, he's mostly agreeing with you, so should I say you're completely misogynistic too?

It's not like we can't check out people on here before judging them. Check out the dialog in this thread. Is he misogynistic or pretty accurate?

Defending yourself instead of dealing with the obvious isn't flattering. And, honestly, it's making me embarrassed to be a woman. Kind of a stereotype that we shoot off our mouths before checking out the whole story.

... But he warned that if you presented judgment first, they probably wouldn't stay around long enough to hear the love part in our culture.
Good warning. Want to try it out?

I'm not very good at it often enough, too. lol

God's judgement: Separation from God, death, and hell. Why go to just one of his three judgements?

Truthfully most nonbelievers I know know of the God in the Bible, so I don't have to start from scratch. They know that "Father" goes with God, so I take that angle, because that's the what brought me in. (I wasn't evangelized to until after being saved, so I didn't come in the traditional way.) In my mind, even back then, God's a good guy basically. He made the universe and the earth for us to enjoy. He gives us the basics whether we believe in him or not -- proper environment for our species -- enough oxygen to breathe, proper temperatures to survive in, stuff we can eat and drink that not only doesn't kill us, but actually taste good most of the time, and a wake and sleep cycle that doesn't kill us. That's a nice guy.

So why do I spit in his face? Why do I hate him? He's a nice guy, so what does that make me? A spoiled brat?

He's the Father? Shouldn't I have some respect for my Father? Doesn't he deserve that?

And then, apparently he knows he deserves that, because the Bible shows that to us, as well as experience. (I was a bratty kid, so I know what it feels like to be slapped by Dad.) Isn't that a good enough reason to know him? Isn't that a better reason than the one-way eternal-paradise vacation ticket? It was for me.

If it's not for the person I'm talking to, then we can go for what the punishment is for disrespecting him. But even there, I'd be running down the long list of how we all disrespect him, before telling what he does if that's a permanent condition.

Truthfully? I'm more into the loving God than the terrified of God aspect of our relationship. It's not that I'm a mamby-pamby. (Can I get an Amen from all those who absolutely know I'm not a mamby-pamby? lol) I just remember how I was as a kid.

Mom promised us $10 for every A we got on our report card. I grew up in the 60's. $10 was 20 weeks of allowance in one fell swoop. Forty weeks, considering we had to give half of our allowance back to save for Christmas shopping! Minimum five subjects on a report card, so that's put-down-a-down-payment-on-a-house rich in my little mind! (I wasn't far off. That was two weeks pay for Dad!) Two out of three of us didn't put in any effort and could pull B's. My poor brother! He had dyslexia and dyscalculia (and wasn't diagnosed until the 90's, because no one knew they existed) so he busted him bum to get that money, but could only pull off C's! Me? Great money! I went for it, for about one week and then I went back to my usual routine. B's were good enough. Doing bare minimum for that one-way vacation plan works for me too. How low is bare minimum?

I'm not in this for what I can get out of God. I'm in this because God is and I can truly trust him. He knows me, but loves me anyway! Cool! I don't want to bring this down to what people can pass on with God. Seems dumb.

Its a different day in age. When my parents first married in the 70s and when they first got saved they would had out tracts,go door to door etc. Now days I dont think it is safe for a woman to be doing that type of thing.JMO What I did was in a church setting,an outdoor concert.People would stop by and hear the music and message throughout the music.Whether you agree with female pastors, and it appears you do not,I used that as an example to say there are many women who preach the truth.Just you haven't personally seen them doesnt mean there arent plenty who do.You did say some women but in your posts you seem to put more of the blame on women.JMO
