John 4: 1-42
Jesus is such a compassionate savior!! This passage is a constant reminder of the approachable, yet respectful manner in which Jesus avails himself to followers. wow! Imagine Him wanting to talk to a woman that culturally he was not to be anywhere near! Not sure about anybody else, but mirk and mire is definitely unapproachable or a judgmental place for the average human eyes and mouth to debate for even a moment, should i speak to that person, should i extend a word of encouragement or pull them up. this passage always lifts me up when feeling a bit thrown out of the clicks, or feeling like i dont fit in the "natural" goings on in the "world." glad for the word of God. truly an anchor for this poor soul that is wealthier than the dickens when Gods word is etched in heart.

He sure is amazing In Every way I’ve always found the same impact of his compassion towards believers from this

“And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both.

Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:37-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the ones who the people look down upon the sinners in the world when they come to Jesus they become the strongest followers being converted from what they were , to what he is creating us to be.

he is so compassionate but doesn’t approve of their sins he takes them away And saves the ones who were lost without him who came to redeem them. Yet the one who considers himself righteous already he’s not going to have the same love for Jesus because Jesus came for the sinners to convert them and save them and they know it because they know they are sinners

like that woman it seems everyone knew she was a sinner , but when she left there she had been forgiven and saved whereas the Pharisee is rebuked who judged her unworthy of the lords company

he’s really quite the opposite of how we see people and judge them he sees the truth of people and thier heart and sinners is who he came to save calling the. To repentance and righteousness that’s of the gospel

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭KJV‬

Paul was a huge sinner persecuting and setting out to destroy Christianity before it got rooted when he was converted he became maybe the greatest and most dedicated known disciple of Jesus Christ in scripture he already knows our sins he came to take them away and deliver us from thoer power over us

Matthew 11;
18For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.”f

It is wonderful that you find encouragement in these passages. And I can see what you mean, as this set of passages shows that all who have fallen into a sinful life are capable of being Redeemed by our Powerful Christ and His Eternal Plan.

Jesus speaks of the Indwelling Spirit:
NLT - "Jesus replied, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water."

Jesus speaks of the Indestructible Seed:
NLT - "Jesus replied, "Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life." "Please, sir," the woman said, "give me this water! Then I'll never be thirsty again, and I won't have to come here to get water."

Jesus reminds us that God is the source of this Living Water:
John 4:14 NIV - ". . . but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

Jesus speaks of His Mysterious Plan:
NLT - "Then Jesus explained: "My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work."

God doesn't condone Jesus' followers shaking up. That woman and her boy toy
were going to have to find themselves separate accommodations.
