The Written Word is the Bible. What would you tell someone if they were to ask you why they should consider the Bible to be different from any other book?

For starters, it is the only book whose author is God. It is not a commentary to any other book, though there be many other books claiming to be commentaries on it.

It is the One Book that shall abide forever...

Matthew
24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Revelation
22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Psalms 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Psalms 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

My favorite thing to say is the Bible is the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth

Psalms 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

it seems the question would be coming from someone who hadn’t believed what’s in it yet

so I would Probably point to it’s age , ( of the original manuscripts ) and the historical accuracy of its records of world history. To convince them of its value . Also the many prophecies that have come to pass that we’re written so long before they happened

The Holy Bible is the ONLY Book in all of creation that holds the Word of the Living God and teaches all men how to receive eternal salvation!

There is but ONE Living God!

The Holy Bible is the "Written Word" of God, and no other Book can say that, nor can they say that they have a "living word."

Jesus the Christ is the "Living Word" of God!

The Holy Bible is the Book of Truth.

"I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise Thy HOLY
Name for Thy LovingKindness and for Thy TRUTH: for Thou
Hast MAGNIFIED Thy WORD Above All Thy Name!"
(Psalms 138:2)

Amen! NO other book Equal to That Which "HE Himself Has MAGNIFIED!!"
Amen?

The word of God is God revealing Himself by words written in a book.

The Word of God is God revealing Himself by manifesting Himself in flesh and now has a glorified body.

When we say the word of God by words written it should probably not be a capital but only a capital when it relates to Jesus.

Isa 41:21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
Isa 41:22 Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.
Isa 41:23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
Isa 41:24 Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.
Isa 41:25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.
Isa 41:26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.
Isa 41:27 The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.
Isa 41:28 For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
Isa 41:29 Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.

God identifies Himself as the one true God by telling us the end from the beginning and said no other person or religion can do that.

God told us the whole history of mankind starting with Adam and Eve until the millennial reign of Christ on earth and tells us beyond that when the saints are at the New Jerusalem a place where sin has never been and in will never be.

Prophesy is a good way to identify God's word as different from any other book ever written in the history of mankind.

And it is a good witnessing tool to reach out to people that God's word is true for things have happened in the past they claim happened that God told us before that time and they can see them pass today what the saints have been saying that God told us years ago.

Even the world prophesies when they say that the Bible is not true for they are saying in the future that Jesus is not coming back and none of the things the saints say concerning the future will come to pass.
