They are after THE SEED!! They want to extract the Seed. It has been the desire of Satan since the beginning to extract the Seed from the generations of Israel.
I am understanding more and more that Satan is surely the god of this world who blinds the eyes and deafens the ears of his followers to keep them from going to Jesus and being healed, and receiving eternal life. Satan is all about destruction, therefore he is attempting to extract the Seed.
I want to give the promise to you:
Gen 22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
Gen 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
Gen 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Now Satan wants to stop the blessing through the line of Abraham, so he must extract the Seed, so he can cut off the generations. Let's also see how he tries to do this later.
1Ch 22:9 Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
1Ch 22:10 He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
Now we know that Solomon died. And the kingdom was taken away from him near the end of his life. But let's see who really owns the thrown.
Zec 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
The Prophet speaks of him here. But let the King speak of himself:
Joh 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
But the men lie about what he said and say:
Mat 26:61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
But the truth is this:
Joh 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
Joh 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
Joh 2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
To which also Stephen testified by the Spirit of God:
Act 7:47 But Solomon built him an house.
Act 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Act 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Act 7:50 Hath not my hand made all these things?
AMEN HALLELUJAH ''what house will ye build me, saith the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?'' HALLELUJAH!!
Act 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
And there is much resistance even now!!!
Act 7:52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
So remember my friends, they are not after you, they are after the seed. But as they cannot destroy the temple of God lest he lay it down, they cannot destroy you. Because Jesus Christ ALONE is the resurrection and the life. AND NO ONE CAN GO TO THE FATHER BUT BY HIM!!!
