Yes I'm sure the entire 1st century earth inhabitants could only buy and sell with a mark they received on their hand. according to you that happened already right?

I am in awe that there are some Christians that believe this nonsense.
What makes you think the "mark" is something in the future and is applied to the whole world when the prophecies all point to the land of Israel:

(Luke 21:20 KJV) And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

(Luke 21:21 KJV) Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

(Luke 21:22 KJV) For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

(Luke 21:23 KJV) But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

(Luke 21:23 KJV) But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

shall be great distress in the land - refers to Judea.

Huh!!!?? What the heck does this post have to do with only being able to buy and sell after receiving the mark? EVEN if you twist scripture to try and make it apply to only Israel, when did that happen?

When did what happen?
Wow. a thick milk shake comes to mind.

You say that the revelation verses dealing with the mark of the beast deal only with Israel AND already took place.
I'm asking, EVEN IF you twist scripture to make it fit only Israel, WHEN IN HISTORY did they receive a mark on their forehead or right hand that they HAD to have in order to buy and sell?

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
(Genesis 2:17)

And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
(Genesis 5:5)

i don't think God considers time in the same way we do.

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
(Psalm 90:4)
If a thousand years is regarded as a day, then Adam died just seventy years short of it :).

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Then the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. [SUP]16 [/SUP]The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; [SUP]17 [/SUP]but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

He did die that day. Spiritually. From God's perspective the moment Adam sinned he died. THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH. Are you trying to say we are not all spiritually dead til we are reborn through Jesus?

Yes, He died spiritually in that literal day.
Yes, He died physically in that spiritual day.

I've got shelves stacked with books from Hal Lindsey, Grant Jeffery, et. al. and others - they are all futurists - and while I would not say they don't have their merits and truly believe in what they write the only view that actually does justice to the time imminent statements littered through the NT and the revelation is preterism - I did not come to this conclusion overnight as I spent most of my years with the other 'isms.
I haven't spent any time on any ,isms and to tell you the truth I don't know the details of Preterism, but from what I've heard I agree with it. One doesn't need to read anything other than the bible to realize that most or all of the prophecies have already been fulfilled. I do not say this to criticize, I assure you, I just think that it might be better for most people to go to the bible without preconceived ideas. I think this is a big problem with most interpretations. They cannot listen to the bible because they are reading to prove a conclusion, instead of reading to come to a conclusion.
