So everything is terrible. What do you suggest? I like the forum. Who exactly gets to judge "The Light" in dcontroversal's great topic about salvation being not of works? We do not know a man's heart, but I think he was sincere.

would you like a forum where people just posted cool bible verses and liked each other posts and all posts would be "amen". i was reading the thread with zen going bonkers and i think it was hilarious and fun, i also had a good conversation with dcontroversal on the not of works thread which hopefully continues...... the key is not to take it seriously and u will never get sad about some nobody on the intenret. the same trick works in real life but its more difficult the pull off because there is no ignore button lol
DON'T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about those reading along that come here for all sorts of different reasons?

You mean when YOU post I shouldn't really read it or take it seriously because you're just kidding around?

Sorry, I don't know you, but going by what you said, why would I ever read any of your posts?

I know, I don't have to....
No problem.

Jesus was clear that He didn't came to earth to bring us peace. He was here to divide the sheep and the goats.

So the divide is Jesus, the Bible also teach us to tell people the truth and if they don't accept it turn away and dust your feed. How many of us is prepared to do that. We always want to convert and have the last say (I am SO guilty of this :( ).

And then the little gem, the Bible teach us that if your brother/sister have a quarrel with you to go to your brother/sister and make peace. Not wait for your brother to come to you. You must go and be the peacemaker. Who does the Bible teach us will see the Kingdom of Heaven? The peacemakers :)

God bless friends
oh good grief

actually, Jesus came as THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD but men love the darkness

Jesus did not come to divide. divides happen naturally because people have free choice (sorry Lynn, love you anyways, we don't see that quite the same but that's ok)

funny, when Jesus said if we lift Him up, He will draw all men (mankind) to Him

let's remember, He is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD and not the great divide

where did someone say EVERYTHING is terrible? the salvation not of works thread is just one more in the series of the same topic and nothing to do with this thread that I can see. he takes a different position then the op with regards to choice and so do I, but that is no reason to destroy something. seems grudges are carried from one thread to another which indicates people are not examining their own reasons for posting what they do

I don't know why this thread that could have been a good discussion has been so attacked

any ideas?

I'm sorry to mention it:

for judgement I have come?

HE further elaborated by saying that in those (who can't see, though they claim to) is the prophecy of Isaiah fulfilled

YES HE came not to bring peace but division and it is because some do not believe

for those whose faith is in HIM, there is peace

just not as the world gives it (or even considers peace)

Whoever believes in ME though he die, shall live
and whoever believes in ME and lives shall never die

some don't beloeve

But that is our peace:

that whoever beloeves in HIM has LIFE and HE will raise us up on the last day

je who has THE SON has THE GSTHER also and he who has THE SON has LIFE

Not all have received HIM

In fact some deny/reject HIM

And those who do, HE will also reject before HIS FATHER

Whoa...This is only a partial truth....Jesus is peace. How could He come to us and not bring Peace? Think about it for a day or two before you answer. Ask Him about it before you think about it. Wait for an answer till you get it.

Oh, Lynn...this is not worthy of you to post like this.

You are judging and judging wrongly. Dcon has made thread about the very foundation of our salvation which is the Work of Jesus and not of our own self righteousness.

Do you realize how many Christians do not know the truth of this? Our temple will not be built strong without the foundation right, for our works are but sand. The rock is only Him.

Then on the Rock...we hear what saith the Lord...

Maybe she she does not know it, that's why she hates it so much?

Jesus came to give peace, but his enemy is against that peace, so what he brought has and will cause war and division, because of its very message.

Oh Good Grief???

Jesus didn't come to divide?

Have you read Mathew 10:32-36 and Beyond.

Jesus came to divide the world between those who would believe in Him and those who would not.
He came to set up His Kingdom.
Some are in the Kingdom.
Some are not in the Kingdom.

If that isn't division, I don't know what is.

Maybe you'd like to explain Mathew 10 to us?

Jesus said He would draw all men to Him?
But not all are drawn.

And thus is the dividing line.

He is the Light.
Some are in the Light.
Some are in the Darkness.

That is also a dividing line.

He DIVIDES humanity in every way.

Jesus came to give peace.

Interesting EG.

How come we don't even have peace here on a Christian site?
How do you explain this?

Do you have anything but mouthy judgmental remarks....exactly....the drivel and bloviating seems to come from you...and you think I am the only one posting in the thread...open your blind eyes and post something worthy instead of your bias opinion....so far that is all you have.....
So many insults in 3 short sentences.

You're a champion at this.

And EG gave you a like.

Are you two twins or something??

HE said peace yes...but not as the world gives it
HE also did not pray for the world but for only those whom THE FATHER had given HIM out of the workd

Therefore not all have HIS PEACE
And the worldvia looking for a different sort of peace which is only temporal

Dcon has an opinion.

It's not even BIBLICAL.

Just because YOU and Dcon present it as right, DOES NOT MAKE IT SO.

If anyone is self-righteous it is those who believe that Jesus hung on that cross so THEY don't have to do anything but believe that He hung on that cross.

THIS IS NOT WHAT MY BIBLE TELLS ME.

My bible tells me Jesus left us with many commandments and teachings WHICH WE ARE TO FOLLOW.

That's what being a DISCIPLE is, seems like you and many Others don't know this.

So yes. You're right. MANY CHRISTIANS do not know the truth.

Depleted is judging CORRECTLY.
