It happens at church all the time. I'm quite certain those friends are NOT drunk.
Who are they talking to? A german? A Roman? A greek?

The disciples were speakign to PEOPLE in their own language, Languages the disciples did not know

And you keep FORGETTING, THEY WERE MOCKING THE DISCIPLES. When you mock someone, You do not say what you really think, you make things up. Like some people do in here when they do not like what they see

And I will tell you. If I am in church, and people start talking babble. I will not just think they are drunk, I will think they are demon possessed!

Mockery is a satire of what is actually happening. Not some off-the-wall comments that have no bearing on the situation.

I see some intellectual dishonesty here. You all refuse to define what drunken behavior is. Though you are quick to claim that the girl in the video is drunk. I find that rather ironic.

The irony is you refuse to see what is actually going on there

But you have a habit of that since I first met you.

So I will discontinue this line of discusion with you. Because most people KNOW what happened here, and that is what matters

And you still refuse to answer the most basic question.
What behavior would cause us to conclude that someone is drunk?
Fluency in foreign languages is not one of them.

STILL reading into the text what you want to see?

Wow!

Text says NOTHING about manical laughter. the text says NOTHING about falling over slain in the spirit. The text says NOTHING about squirming around on the floor.

Those ALL come from embellishing in YOUR mind what the people there saw and thought.

I am sure they are not drunk with wine, but none-the-less be very careful, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (2Co 11:13-14)

However, if we submit ourselves to God, the devil will flee away. (Jas 4:7)

But, not all churches worship the true God.

Pentecost is where dunamis power comes to men from God. Kind of like sticking dynamite into the middle of a man and it explodes.

So they all put on their 3 piece suits, shine their shoes, grab their bibles and calmly go into the crowd of mockers to preach? Like you take that guy, there yacob, you got that language, and I'll go to this one. Haha.

Just like today?....I think not.

Indignation, and pride....some may need to fall off their high religious horse.

How about some solid BIBLICAL teaching, instead of experience based theology:

Which God is the "true" God? The one your church worships? (just a wild guess)

Fast forward to the 47:40 mark and keep your eye on the girl.

Look in the background at 54:05 to 54:10 Why was he not healed? I have taught many students in his condition and they all had simple faith.

Umm... Thanks for not calling me a liar!.... yet ... I guess.

Why are you inserting behavior that is not in the text? The text TELLS YOU WHY they thought they were drunk. It tells you!! Anything else is from your own mind and experience, NOT from Scripture.

The text TELLS YOU that the scoffers interpreted the languages they probably never heard before as a drunk slurring his words.

PLEASE! Show me where it says they were laughing maniacally and rolling around on the floor in convulsions!
Amen....it does not even come close to saying or implying that rigmarole

What behavior would cause us to conclude that someone is drunk?
Fluency in unknown languages is not one of them.

Acts 2:13, 15
13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.” ...
15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!

Sketch.....the first couple times we engaged each other you went off on a rant.....I do not believe what you are trying to embellish the scriptures into saying......I agree with Penn's view.....This "Holy, uncontrolled laughter" is not found in the text.....it is an assumption and is not proven by the text. And I still say that people miss the mark on this text....EACH MAN like Peter would Speak in their own language and they would ALL HEAR in the native tongue they were born with.....

This does not happen in churches today......

You made me feel quite unwelcome, by the way.

Penn claimed I was saying that "Holy, uncontrolled laughter", etc. was involved, but I never said that. (his words only)
My only point all along was what the passage actually says. Some thought they were drunk.
And I have asked the question a half dozen times.
"What behavior would cause us to conclude that someone is drunk?"
I think this is a fair question. And I am not trying to make it any more than it is.

Do you remember how many dislike votes you gave me that day? A dozen or two.
And it wasn't you as much as the gang of thugs that follow you.
They carried on the dirty work for several days (weeks?) after you quit. Anyway...
I don't hold grudges, so...
