When you've already been saved, you don't need to hope for salvation. You already have it so hoping for it would be kind of silly. As far as hoping that myself and others are saved from temptation, well isn't that what PRAYER is for?? 
AMEN....I believe JESUS...he said I am born again, saved, redeemed, justified, sealed and sanctified (positionally) and the word hope he INSPIRED=a confident expectation of something guaranteed.....
These guys HOPE for salvation like one HOPES for a winning lottery ticket in the Mega Millions lotto....their odds are about as good...slim to none that they will make it based upon their false ideologies and pseudo gospels....

From wher im standing its you whos waffled on the most about what we must do to be saved,, which makes that a type of works..
And hope and prayer are the same to me there both a javelin......
