What does it mean exactly in the Bible when it says everything was created through Jesus?

I'm just a bit confused on that. Does that mean by Him, or what? Or how is everything created through Him?

Do you have a Bible verse where this is stated?

I am unfamiliar with the phrase you are using.

Jesus is the Divine Logos apparently.

Good question

Yet for us there is but one God, the Father FROM whom all things came and FOR whom we live, and one Lord Jesus Christ THROUGH whom all things came and THROUGH whom we live

Through Him means that everything revolves around him. Our lives and all creation were made and exist through him. He is the centre of it all.

Saying that Jesus is the logos and then saying that all things are created through him would have made some sense to the Greeks, even if it would have been a little blasphemous to associate it directly with an individual.

To overgeneralize, the logos was a universal law, spirit, or reason pervading the universe. It is what made things tick and tick in a timely manner. You could think of it as akin to the Tao of Chinese philosophy.

As for "through," the word can just as easily mean "by." In fact, in the KJV, it's translated "by" about three times as often as it's translated "through."

acks; Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground. I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt. This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.Clickable links

And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

The wonders done through the prophets are done bythe holy spirit.Which dwells in us.
There are legions of angels and ministering spirits, celestial and terrestial beings.
Did you think Gods servants are nothing.Worship God,Give thankx for the things you have.
Honor thi father and thi mother

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

Love a friend in God
in Jesus name

Through Him (Christ/ the Word/ LOGOS) all things were made. That is John, chapter 1. The Word (LOGOS), CHRIST was in the beginning with God. Christ made all things, and all things were made through Christ. The Father and the Holy Spirit made all things. These things are all the truth. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit co-operated together to make all things, except for evil. That was created by the devil. God didn't make anything that wasn't good. Take care. In Erie/ Scott

10And,
"(Z)YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH,
AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS;
11(AA)THEY WILL PERISH, BUT YOU REMAIN;
(AB)AND THEY ALL WILL BECOME OLD LIKE A GARMENT,
12(AC)AND LIKE A MANTLE YOU WILL ROLL THEM UP;
LIKE A GARMENT THEY WILL ALSO BE CHANGED
BUT YOU ARE (AD)THE SAME,
AND YOUR YEARS WILL NOT COME TO AN END."

(Hebrews 1:10-13)

Oh, never mind. This verse explains it all. Thanks for all your comments, though!

Yeah, I guess it does mean more "by" than anything. I don't know much Greek at all, but I know that it's more "flexible" or "expressive" than the English language (I could be wrong, though).

So that it would have made more sense to the Greeks...would make sense. :)

Thanks for the answer!
God Bless

Jesus, I think, is God in flesh. God created all things. Maybe that is what is being referred to.
