Hi presidente, thanks for long reply. I think we can discuss long with our arguments. When i became a christian, i searched for a church to go. Before I was protastant it was clear to me that the most of them are only nominell christians. So I first visited a Morovian church, but this convinced me not and I attend a mennonite bretheren church. From beginning i did not saw me as an christian and not depend on a certain denomination. But of course I learnginninged about their doctrine. Also theyouthgroup of this church dad some contact to a youthgroup from a church of God (Pentecostal) And some friends from this group told me I miss to have the second blessing and I can have the speaking in tongues. I have only to ask God for that. I was new in christian faith, but from beginning i could see what is from bible and what not. So I asked several times God to give me this gift of speaking in tongues. And also I tryed alone to speak. But I fiound out that it is my own making noises. And i also asked God if it is right to have this gift, then he should give me and i f not then not. I did not got this gift. And I found it OK. Then I had expieirence with some charismatics which endet that those splitt a church in a bad way. So my expieriences showed me that if charismatics enter a church, they will spoil it.
So I attend a bible mission minded biblecollege. All christians I met during my 30 nearly years as christian (ecxept from this pentecostal church) did not speak in tongues. But without beeing a pentecostal ore charismatic I expiered that God answers prayer, that people turn to christ. Also that he heals sick people.
According pentecostal and charismatic doctrine, all this fine christians and missionaries seving the Lord without the enabeling through the Holy Spirit, because non of them have the baptising with the Holy Spirit and can speak in tongues! This is strange to me. I am not doubting that god today heals ore is giving prophecie in certain situations (special in missionfield). I als read from christians in extrem sitiuation which spoke in tongues, but only in this situatiuon and later in life no more. I do not doubt that God is doing this today!!
But I doubting How it came through some movements. like the pentecostal and later through different charismatic waves into the world and is dividing christianity. I believe in this movements are many brothers and sisters which are following Christ.
But I must say I dont trust the Spirit behind these doctrines, which saying you mus have dreams, which saying must speakin tongues otherwise you are no real christian. This I cant find in the bible, and also I cant find in the bible that peopleare droven to speak in tongues without controle it. I cant find laying on the earth backward fallen, ore noising like animals ore screaming and laughing out of controle. Also I dont find singing ore dancing in the spirit.
I dont believe that the Holy Spirit makes such a different among believers which have all the same Spirit!
