well we r in the end times. people are fallin away. The more I see people fail, the more I see who truly is the one who is unfailable

True..... but I don't stop being real for God & man because I'm surrounded by fakes.

Satan's warfare against the Body of Christ is evidence that he HAS to stop what the church is doing.

If the church is doing nothing, then Satan is in the Amen corner stretched out on a pew.:)

This product may be useful to learn to speak in tongues.
Be careful as the interpreter disk costs way more than the original tongues speaker disk.

I have never used tounges in front of other people, i just use it in prayer when im alone, most people don't know i have it. I know its gotten out of hand in some churches, and its probably abused but im not one to judge. I can't say if theirs is fake or different to what i have.

All i can tell you is my experiences, sometimes when i pray in tounges, i have no idea what im saying, but all of a sudden i'll just start crying and feel a strong sense of forgivness. It helps me open up to god.

Now i have had a very hard upbringing, much bullying from people and depression most of my life, i have always had a very hard time opening myself up or understanding what exactly is going on inside of me, or putting my feelings into words. Praying in tounges has helped me alot with that.

Sometimes i wonder, perhaps thats the reason why some people get the gift of tounges, because they are the ones that need it the most, as opposed to most people who have no problem expressing themselves.

I know most people think they are spirtually lesser then those with tounges but i think its the opposite. I think those with tounges need it the most, i think its to help them grow spirtually, where as other people have no problem in that area.

The big question is when. If you believe the perfection to come is a book to bolster and support God's claim as to Who He is, you're good. If you believe it is when Christ/the Messiah returns to restore all that man lost, then it's yet to come.
Some charismatics claim that the gift of tongues are the heavenly tongues of angels. In that case there is no reason for them to cease in heaven.

So the claims:

a) tongues are the heavenly tongues of angels, not existing human languages
b) they will cease when Christ will come

are self-refuting, IMHO.

I must admit I do not understand this post.
Where did you get your "historical fact" that no one spoke in tongues from the 3rd to 19th century?

I did not say "no one", but "virtually did not exist".

You can see tongues and prophecies all around the first church, in the practice of Christians and in their writings.
But it disappears in the second century.

Maybe there was some sect or individual Christian who practiced the glosolalia, but it disappeared from the Church as such.

Historically it corresponds with the completion and acceptance of the biblical canon. Coincidence?

Have a witness that there are a few people out there who would receive help from just praying 30 minutes a day in tongues... I have 40 years of testimonies from my life and others about this. I know Paul used tongues more than anyone in his day and his life was fruitful.
My apologizes. I thought you had something to share. Something of Christ.

Nope. Your god is tongues. This is what you do? Leave a ditty about tongues every other day and then watch the war break out?

Yeah. Nothing to learn from you.

When Dr. Andrew Newberg, a neuroscientist, compared brain scans of Christians praying in tongues with Buddhist monks chanting and Catholic nuns praying, the study showed the frontal lobes—the brain's control center—went quiet in the brains of Christians talking in tongues, proving that speaking in tongues isn't a function of the natural brain but an operation of the Spirit (1 Cor. 14:2, 14).

So you are saying that Buddhist monks are chanting under the control of the Spirit of God?

Or proving simply the fact, that the person speaking in tongues do not create any meanings and is just producing meaningless sounds. Therefore the part of the brain for language will decrease the blood flow.

Give us the http page for this comparison of nuns, monks and tongues. I have found only some summary for what happened during tongues, no comparison with other practices.

I am afraid this proof is dead, then. Because it must be paid for.

Standard scientific research should be published in a scientific magazine and accessible for everyone there and peer-viewed.

His are only in paid books.

Some books of this man cost 240 dollars. It seems suspicious to me.
