Too much spiteful speech toward our fellow Christians in this forum just because someone else doesnt interpret something in the same way. I just finished to book of James today and I thought it would help us to remember these verses.

Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Jas 3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
Jas 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Jas 3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Jas 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Jas 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Jas 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
Jas 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
Jas 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Jas 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Jas 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Jas 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
Jas 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

Jas 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

I just finished the book of James yesterday while in the waiting room for my sons surgery...

James 3:17-18
17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Every month or two someone makes a post in the forum like this. Complaining about the bad treatment that goes on here. I've read a number of them. I even wrote one myself. Sadly, nothing works. The people most responsible either don't care or think they're innocent somehow. I gave up. I now typically read only 0-1 bible forum post a day.

The lies, are frustrating many and they comfort themselves through attack.... Forgive them, for we all do wrong, we all can be deceived.

Offer the truth, do not fear the response.

Almighty Yahweh our God knows our hearts and soul. If we be against the most High then we face judgment from the most High.

Yeshua our Saviour told us:
Matt. 5:13) You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14) You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15) Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16) In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Yeah, sometimes I find myself getting angry at people sometimes....not because we disagree but they start questioning your faith, say you are doubting God, and just start putting you in a real negative light just because they dont agree with you. Sometimes when I go to a Christian forum I almost feel like I'm walking into enemy territory. Shouldnt be that way.

Yes. Thank you. Lots of prayers went out for that kid. He's 16 and strong and bouncing back quite quickly.

Thank you Lucid dream 1982.

I originally told him to just rub some dirt on it and walk it off. His mother insisted he go to the doctor....

Sometimes its good to have those softer, more sensitive ones with us. Ok, most of the time...

Grandpa, Im glad all went well withyour son, thankyou Jesus.

As to this post, maby if we remember , even if we disagree, that our battles are against principalities and powers of evil, not each other. :)
Also, never forget that Jesus died for every person, not just the ones that are right. :)
I often try to remind myself, that Jesus died for the one that I may be angry with, somehow to do so always humbles me,
simply because to be angry with another, is like saying His sacrifice wasnt enough, it is this, that quiets the heart in Jesus.

In Jesus, God bless

It’s good when people can debate in a civil manner, huh?

I need to remind myself of those verses. I'm guilty of being a punk myself at times. Lets remember we are brothers and sisters in Christ. We fight against each other like unbelievers (not cool baby). We have to remember we are on the same team.

I agree that sometimes discussion can get passionate. Maybe you could give some examples of good and bad speech?

As I said I agree with you. When Jesus spoke to the Pharisees it was pointed and direct, but on other occaisions was very compassionate. It depended on His audience.
