That's all very interesting, but until you reconcile Paul with James you're just spitting into the wind.

what do you need reconciled? if you want to reconcile Gods word, understand that it doesn't contradict itself, there is an order. it works as a plan. like building a house. just a foundation plan? is that enough to have walls and a roof? paul doesn't oppose James, you just are misundertstanding Paul. it seems like you think the word of God is just random, this guy said this, this other guy said this different thing. that's not correct way to look at it. look at it like how does what James said and paul said work together. you are choosing paul over James. put the 2 together and you will have a fuller understanding. the only reason you cant reconcile the 2 is because you think its one or the other. add pauls wisdom to james wisdom. 1+_1=2. to reconcile what you are asking, simply tell yourself all of Gods word is correct. simple. you just wont accept anything but a statement or 2 from paul. cant disregard Gods word, we put it together, by prayer and petition for understanding. none of it cancels out the rest. its an order. I cant really tell you any clearer. maybe just pray about it ask God to reconcile it for you and study it. No judgement for ya. God Loves you tho. I honestly just care about the Lords opinion and obedience is definitely not something God is displeased with, so I'm at peace completely with Gods word :)

Okay, so tell us what the sum is you reached by adding them together. Because Paul clearly says In Romans 3 that the whole world stands guilty before God, and "that by works no man can be justified in His sight” (vs 19, 20). Whereas James clearly says, "that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone”. (James 2:24)

The harmony of Romans 3 and Romans 4:2-6 and James 2:24 is seen in the differing ways that Paul and James use the term "justified." Paul, when he uses the term, refers to the legal (judicial) act of God by which He accounts the sinner as righteous (Romans 3:24; 4:2-6; 5:1). James, however is using the term to describe those who would prove the genuineness of their faith by the works that they do.

James is not using the word "justified" to mean "accounted as righteous" but is "shown to be righteous." James is discussing the proof of faith (says-claims to have faith but has no works/I will show you my faith by my works - James 2:14-18), not the initial act of being accounted as righteous with God (Romans 4:2-3). Works bear out the justification that already came by faith.

Man is saved through faith and not works (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9); yet genuine faith is vindicated, substantiated, evidenced by works (James 2:14-24). Christ saves us through faith based on the merits of His finished work of redemption "alone" and not on the merits of our works. It is through faith "in Christ alone" (and not by the merits of our works) that we are justified on account of Christ (Romans 3:24; 5:1); yet the faith that justifies is never alone (solitary, unfruitful, barren) if it is genuine (James 2:14-24). *Perfect Harmony.*

Well you you keep on working, and I'll keep on resting in Christ who is my life. How's that?

Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: ;)
