All you've done is ACCUSED me of not bringing any evidence. You havn't shown this to be the case.
Well you pretty much proved his point below

Actually evidence means comparing doctrine of a cult to scripture. Thats all.
Comparing it to your interpretation of scripture that is.

I've seen plenty of evidence from you in the thread about the EO church, I'd like to see Scott or someone put out some scriptural evidence to counter your evidence in that thread. I don't think they can though.
Welcome to the front lines bud.

Armor up!

The Holy Spirit interprets it for me.

Better him than old folks in hats playing temple.

So what makes you think that the Holy Ghost hasn't interpreted it for the Pope and every other Catholic?

Because your doctrines go completely against scripture. Eazy.

Likewise we assert your doctrines go against scripture, so which one of us is correct.

When you talk about Tradition how do you get around this:

Mark 7:6-13

6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 11But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. 12And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; 13Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Easy, just because Jesus condemned tradition here does not mean he hates all tradition or that all tradition is necessarily wrong. Another difference is that to us Tradition is Divine Revelation, and not merely accumulated teachings of men.

It's really not that hard to wrap your mind around, and quite honestly if God wanted Sola Scriptura it would have been that way from the beginning, but as we can see in history Sola Scriptura, before the 16th century, didn't exist.

It existed just fine outside of the temple cults.

I don't think Jesus would have wanted people practising oral traditions that contradict what is written.
You can take a look at the Catholic Church and see many things that contradict what is written, idol worship, calling a man Father, necromancy, etc.

Feel free to believe these things aren't in contradiction to the scripture, I won't stop you, but I won't say they are acceptable teachings.

Quite honestly I didn't expect you to. But are we in agreement that tradition that does not violate scripture is indeed valid? Basically to prove to us that "T"radition (as opposed to "t"radition) is wrong you must first address our interpretation of scripture and not dismiss Tradition with blanket statements. Because in our eyes scripture and Tradition are in perfect harmony.

Do you hold to the 5 Solas? Actually do you hold to the first two Solas? Because we have no objection to the last 3. If you do, then there's your answer.

Sola scriptura and Sola Fide both scripturally sound doctrines notwithstanding your standard works righteousness James proof texts.

Dont even bother.
