Blood moons are when the husband has to hide out at the pub for 3 days, and only ever say correct/nice things. No jokes allowed during that time.

As a mere man, I would say that the color of the moon is the result of the refraction of light as it passes through the atmosphere which only occurs at that the particular angel which the moon sits in relation to the earth.

So there you have it. Our calendar is essentially a lunar calendar. The days of the week were established by men who were familiar with the phases of the Moon. But I suppose, if you are not familiar with astronomy this would never have occurred to you.
1 lunar month = 29.53059 days

1 lunar phase (1st quarter, full moon, third quarter, new moon) = 29.5305 / 4 = 7.3826 days

Yes, that works to a certain degree. IMHO, good point.

Every lunar month would have at least one eight day week (which reminds me of a song from Paul McCartney and the Beatles ). The lunar month is one explanation for the seven day week (if you prefer to omit the other cited explanation).

I usually drove myself there, but the chauffeur drove me out that day and I said, 'How've you been?' – 'Oh working hard,' he said, 'working eight days a week.'

—Paul McCartney, The Beatles Anthology - Source: Eight Days a Week - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For multiple reasons, I like the consistent Design of the 7 day week happening every week. It makes work weeks and scheduling to be easier. :)

Lunar month = 29 days, 12 hours, 793 parts.

1 Hour = 1080 parts

1 part = 76 moments

The Lunar calendar is a little different than the Gregorian calendar. And why do you believe that a Lunar month has one eight day week?

Do any Gregorian months have 8 or more days per week?

maybe these bloodmoons marks times in history,

that God sends his spirit to move men to do his will, at those times,

and the latter rain is falling now all around us
