What does "Jesus in Me" mean to you?

I loved and agreed with ALL of this. But THIS:

Being able to look at someone homeless and rejected and seeing the small child that God made and loves and the strong loving productive person God intended them to be. Learning somehow to help them wash themselves clean, tear down the strongholds that enslave and bind them and place them in God's loving hands to mend, heal and teach what True love really means through prayer and basic comforts such as food, clothing, time spent listening to their story. Learning how to reach pass the despair, the hurt, the pain, the anger, the callous, the addictions and making their souls hear the words of Truth: "God loves you and He wants you to come home."

I was like "ok SOMONE has been praying ALLot in the past few days. and then...yes...you have!! AMEN!

I've been praying about what to do. I feel kind of listless. I sit and I think and I pray and I talk to you guys and do some things around the house and with the kids but I always feel like I should be doing MORE, but I always wonder WHAT?

My mind gets a bombardment of things I COULD be doing, things I SHOULD be doing, but I wait and see and ask "God what do YOU want me to do? I don't know, I can't decide. there are too many options and all sound good. I could go visit the elderly at the nursing home. I could email or call my friends and find out about how they are doing and listen to any who need an ear willing to take the time to remind them of God's love. I could learn how to cook, paint, sew a dress, garden, ride my bike, practice running, clean the house, volunteer to build a house, write a book......the List goes on Lord and there is not enough time in the day to do it all, So what should I do?"

Sometimes Satan will try and come by while I'm praying and condemn me and tell me what I could have done and didn't do, what I should have done and make me feel guilty for what I did instead.

But I have found each night if I pray and lay it in God's hands and ask Him to help me decide and give me strength to DO HIS will the next day. I wake up in the morning and feel refreshed and try again.

I don't know a lot of things, but I learn it is best to take it day by day. We can make long range plans but we must always add the clause "If God wills it I will do this in the future" and be willing to give up any plans if God shows us it is NOT His will for us and our lives.

And sometiems the devil can have us SOOOOO busy, and thinkig nabout SO much, what can i do here, and what can i di there...and REALLY all GOD wants us to do is Be still and KNOW that he is god. Just get quiet and listen to him. have HIM speak to you, and just absorb him for who he is. Its beautiful to DO things...but a great majority of the "works" we will be judged on is if it was in the spirit or in the flesh, did we obey GOD or self.

Two men can be doign the EXACT SAME THING at the exact same time, and one is Obeying GOD and one is doing what SELF wanted. its important to BE empty for HIM always. Anyway im getting off track

its DAILY. We need to focus on TODAY. Obeyign Jesus TODAY. resisting rebellion adn temptation by restign in HIM TODAY, otn worry about if you can do it for ever, make sure you do it TODAY. make sure you make tim for JEsus TODAY. if HE is al that matters adn TODAY is all that matters, then if W did this we woudl see allot of WAY more relxaed people. As far as being "sinless" I dunno. I KNOW what the bible says. and the bible says

If we stay focused on TODAY, in love TODAY, in edification, TODAY in obedience, TODAY in encouragement, TODAY in feeding others, phsycialy and spiritualy, then i think we will all be good.

And yes that passage abot buildign your house on rock may be one of my favorite passages, We MUST Obey the owrds of Jesus other wise we have NO foundation. None. We must make HIM our day. if HE is the bread, the water, the word, the blood, the spirit, the life, and HE said focus on today, and focus on ME. then thats what we need to do, and be assured through faith that HE will take care of all other things.

I understand the need for cruxify the flesh and diggin' deep within you and tearing down all strongholds that war against the knowledge of God.

It is a process only God can really do and it takes time and is different for each person.

Yep Nan this is the step I am in now, The sanctification process... 1 John 3: And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
This we know is deeper than what it appears to be, becasue ONLY the blood of Jesus and the crosswork CAN CLEAN US!.... Nan, this purification of HIMSELF is not getting the past sins away, it is REFRAINING from continueing in them. This purification I d on MYSELF by MYSELF is to just learn to listen what the Holy Spirit does not like me doing, thinking and saying. So it is not so BY MYSELF as I thought. I STILL have the Holy Spirit working in me and ON ME, by Teaching me God's Likes and Dislikes!

Nan it is only different for each person, becasue they have different sins to repent from. The end product are EXACTLY the same in holiness, pureness and godliness. Yet with different functions, but it is like a finger of Jesus, or an eye of Jesus... different parts but same Body.

Before we build we should make sure we reach the rock of Christ. that we have all the filth washed away. that we have repented of all God has wanted us to repent and made amends and healed whatever breaches and things we are able to heal and help and bandage.

Nan we do not build the Church, Jesus does, the only thing we do is LET GOD MAKE US A suitable brick for the Body (Church/House) of Jesus! We let God do this by FOLLOWING His instructions on how to live, act and think. Sanctification chips away all the bad parts from us as unsuitable bricks, until onle the core of PURITY remains and we are found SUITABLE bricks to be used in God's Church where HE wants that brick to fit.


There will be a point in all believers lives where you just bleed and cry and allow God to work and cleanse you in His blood. Allow Him to show you your sins but with the blanket and the comfort of His love and that you do not suffer alone. You will stand in His refining fire until all the dross is washed away and you truly KNOW with every cell in your body that you are NOTHING without God, worthless without His love, useless without His guidance, Lost without His light.

Nan actually there is for EVERY sin you commit, and committed in the past, a moment like this. Nan EVERY sin Satan has written in his "Cobus Myburgh SIN REGISTER" God will have me take to the cross. Nan, these are ALL the sin Satan has against me. It is not all the sin I committed becasue some sin was forgiven even before I knew there was a Jesus. Like this they were forgiven... I as a 22 yearold had violated a Christian, and that person forgave me becasue he is a Christian, then Satan does not have the authority to write that sin up against me. When a Christian forgive people their sin, it is FORGIVEN.. There is Bible verses to confirm this. But the best one is... The love covereth MANY sin.

Every sin in the devels register on my name God will adress for me, and sometimes 40 years after you committed the sin God will lay it on your heart to ask that person for forgiveness, It happened with me. I asked forgiveness to a very old neigbor a few months ago, and she forgave me, and even said out loud to the croud that Cobus asked her for forgiveness, and she was crying with joy. And it is true, NAN this period has sufferings, and great joy. You do not suffer alone, and you do not get joy alone. Many people gain by this.
It is in this sanctification period that we get to KNOW the ways of God, even before we SEE Him. It is this period that we see the difference God makes on us. We experience how well we are when we obey and how unwell we are when we do not. So our wisdom increase, our faith grows, and our purity improves.

We grow in a love that does not come from us, becasue this love has WISDOM way beyond our wisdom. Our thoughts are getting more focussed, and our whole being is transforming to a NEW way of life. The things you once craved for are repulsive now. And the further God takes you through this process, the more you realise God's will in your life! And then you come to the conclusion..... God has to BE ALL in me before I will be IN HIS WILL 100%.

you know that if you ever turn again from Him you will be forever lost, a wandering soul destined for Hell. That there will be no more hope.
Nan thank God it is so pleasent in His company, I do not think ANY person is this stupid. And the more time you are in His presence the CLOSER and more RELEVANT God is to you. So I doubt it very much if a person that ENDS up 100% in God's will and presence, will EVER leave the Light to go back to the Darkness.

You know that nothing can separate you from the love of God and your faith is strong enough that when God calls forth and says stand. You are able through His strength.
Nan this is the wonderful thing, God will not send you away from Him before He did not bless you WITH HIMSELF. That is how God can NEVER leave you. Unfortunately too many people do not get to God before they send themselves on some ways.... Nan, remember how Jesus said to His disciples.... WAIT FOR THE POWER FROM ABOVE..Acts 1:4 acts 1:8... They had to wait for the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT... The Filling of the Holy Spirit. Then if they stand up they do it with GOD"S POWER! Not their own... Like Peter said....Do you think we healed the lame man with our power?

Yes we should pray everyone reaches that point in their life that they have true repentance and submission to the will of God. When they can say, God kept me through the fire and the tribulations of this life and I will keep my faith in Him whether I feel His presence near or whether I must walk and do His will from afar, For I will trust that the Holy Spirit lives within me and guides me and keeps me.

Nan God gave EVERY man the power to rule over sin, they do not need salvation for that. That power was given to ADAM, becasue we ARE still created in HIS imaage and likeness, No man will get more power over Satan than he already has. But all SAVED people will get GODLY power to DO WHAT GOD wants him to do ALL the time! If God told Cain that he should rule over sin, was God telling a lie? No! Cain already had the power to rule over sin. He had the power to NOT KILL Abel. And he also had the power to kill Abel. And the choice is his to make... and like Cain we also chose wrong at first. But then... God starts to save us. And becasue we now like the choice of right more than the choice of wrong, God starts to restore the charactor of Jesus in us... To when God is finished we will have 100% the charactor of Jesus! Always doing only right, as God first intended for MAN!


I want to talk about walking with Christ, building His sanctuary or temple within us. Learning what virtue really means, gaining wisdom from above and what True love is. How brotherly kindness is not just about actions but even thoughts of another, giving others the benefit of doubt even though some will call you naive and blind and undiscerning seeing in a person the potential for who they can become if they only turned from their sin and their abuse of themselves and the world and towards God and His love.

Now this is where we do not agree... We do not build the good in us. We do nt have any GOOD in us to build with. All we can do is lay down the bad.... Nan no man has a will! Not a single man... We only have a choice to do one of two wills.... In every situation in our lives we have a choice of one of two ways/wills... God's or Satan's. And virtue God's way is a perfect life! When a person ALWAYS choose to adhere to God's will, they live a life without sin! It is a choice! And it is your's to make.

Look at it this way. Nan I can choose to love you like God loves you, and then I will not want to hurt you, in fact the opposite, I would like to bless you with goodness. If I do this, then I followed God's will... But Nan I can also choose to not love you, and then I do not want to bless you with goodness, but with something evil. And then I do lke Cain did, I did not rule over the will of Satan! And Nan there is NO love in his will. And there is ONLY love in God's

Nan even this is a great gift of God... To be a spontanious charitable person, is already a LOT of Godly love in your heart. Nan i was NEVER a stingy person, this is one thing God planted in me from an early age. I have PLENTY other ban things but one good thing in me was God's charitable heart. I give very easily. Nan this process to sanctification, is the GROWTH that Paul talked about... We grow ourselves DEAD! It is this taring down the old bad ways, and the old bad thoughts that makes us GROW in purity. This is the thing NAN... There is NO use to tell another person that God loves him, if you CANNOT say..."I love you" and have no doubt that whatever that man then asks you you will do for him. Nan this love you declare to that person, has to be so PURE that that man WILL believe you. Nan if you say to a person..." I love you" and that person does not believe you 100%, then you failed God! Jesus says so in John 17. If you then tell him "God loves you" he might still doubt, but if he doubts your love you failed God!

I think you should do less! I think you shouold be so stingy with your time now, that you spend some EVANGILICAL time on ANANDAHYA. Nan spend some ALONE time with GOD! Nan, Jesus did not even render an answer when He was challenged to say..."I am the Messiah!" God proved it enough. Paul did never say :"I am perfect" becasue God was evident enough in His teachings through Paul. No Apostle ever said..." Come to us we can baotize with the Holy Spirit".... Becasue God did it enough through their hands. Nan you will NEVER have to say...." I am a child of God, becasue GOD will show it to all who HE wants too!"

Cobus even if the other person does not believe you truly love them, you have not failed God unless you lied when you told that person you loved them.

we are to diligently add to our faith. it is part of the good work God made us for. some people want to claim they are "living in faith alone" but it is like saying "Daddy carry me I don't want to learn to walk"

God commands us to learn and gain knowledge of Him and His ways. He enables us to do this. He tells us to gain self control, virtue, knowledge, brotherly kindness, compassion, to seek peace, love, joy and to have His Words written in our hearts.

We are to use discernment to distinguish God's voice from any other be it our old flesh or more sinister origins.

I believe all things God does Through us but WE still have to make some decisions. it is part of learning to stand and walk for sometimes God wants us to help carry our brethren and we can't do that while God is still carrying us. Like all good parents He was us to learn and grow to be the person He meant for us to be, not always suckling on milk and being carried to and fro.

we are not puppets we are children. God does not directly control us but He teaches, trains and equip us to do His good works.

God gives us the blocks and tells us to build Him a house through our good works, actions, words, thoughts and love for others and Him.
