The Lord knows my confession list very well.

that's a shame, Richard. i'm sad to hear it :(

He has forgotten my sin, removed it from me as though it were under the bottom of the sea, or as it's said, 'as far as east from west.'
didn't you know that His mercy is that great?

there's so much talk about "we're not wrong to spread the gospel" here --

but the gospel isn't "homosexuality in particular is a sin"

the gospel is that mankind is steeped in sin, wretchedly so, even the ones who appear squeaky clean. the gospel is that God has taken on human flesh in the form of His Son, and that this Jesus Christ gave Himself to atone for all sin, with one perfect sacrifice, for all time, that has made perfect for all time everyone who is being sanctified. that this Christ rose again the third day and that we should repent of every sin, believing in Him, as an answer to the abundant mercy He offers everyone.

this gospel applies to all of you, whatever the particular abomination it is that your human heart runs after. the gospel is to believe, and so let that that heart be crucified with Him, to be replaced with His in newness of life, in great grace, and to love mercy and walk humbly, expressing the same love He showed you to others.

He knows that better than I as he has seen my judgement as righteous and not without GREAT consideration. The LORD has also seen what I thought of my indiscretions and has allotted me entry into the Kingdom of Heaven as my weight has been the burden of mankind in this day and age.

No amount of money changing will ever make the difference in THIS WORLD as it has been seen and judged in accordance with the rule and the law of Heaven.

Do not judge your brothers and sisters with haste. I am your brother. If you chose to shame me, beat me, blaspheme against me than that is your own accord. It will never change the fact of what this world has become and what needs to be done with it in order for it to be cleansed.

And when I showed thee the truth, thy judgement became tainted and un-sanctified, bent and un-altering. Now to be judged again, not by the LORD, but by mankind, I am expected to change my decision?

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. Lev 18:22 RSV

I don't think the Vatican actually condoned it. The pope just neglected to let the world know it's a sin, when he had the opportunity. I thought it was a poor choice on his part, since homosexuality, and the world's acceptance of it, seems to be increasing by leaps and bounds.

Catholic doctrine has not changed regarding the moral nature of homosexual behavior.

Catholic thinking is changing regarding how to minister to homosexuals, whether to take the Westboro route or to distance itself from it.

i agree that it's not accurate to say that the Vatican condones homosexuality. in fact, i think that statement is arguably slander, though i understand it's made by inference from a mindset that is closer to the Westboro thinking - that is, if you're not actively damning it with every mention, you're condoning it by silence. i guess that's arguable too.

i don't know how profitable it is to argue one way or the other =\

There Is a scripture that says all sin offends GOD.

We are not under law but under grace.

I think a better question would be,can a person be a homosexual and still make It In to heaven?
to be saved, that homosexual person would be crucified with Christ, just like that liar, that thief, that arrogant person, that gossip, that sloth, that usurer, that vain person...

no sexual deviant will be in the kingdom any more than anyone that practices any sin.
all of us who are in Him, we have all died - we are all dead - so that we can live again, no longer a sinner.

we're not 'sinners saved by grace' -- we're new creatures, who were once sinners, who by grace were crucified and buried with Him, that we could be raised again.

that is a truth that seems to be missing in a lot of 'christian's' theology. (Romans 6)

From nothingness came nothingness, homosexuality in all shapes and forms came nothingness. The extinction of the human race would have surely come fast as it is an abomination if no-one stepped in and spake the truth.

it's not the voice of some human condemning sin and judging others that prevents the day of Gods wrath. it's the patience and mercy of the Lord.

I suppose I did not appreciate having my "mistake" of wording being brought to a degree of wanton blasphemy, when it was simply an error or oversight in my typing. My mind is filled with much greater decision making than just these forums and the speculations that are within.

The patience, has been over-extended to the degree of what the masses have become.

God's Judgement does not come lightly and without great patience and understanding.
I SUGGEST ROMANS 1...What I said is what God said by the hand of Paul..receive it or deny it...your choice.....!

the patience has been over-extended?
now who's proclaiming to know better than God?

Rich, you just 'expanded' the thought about the pot & kettle all by yourself.
