Dear friends,

Since John 15:26 says "who proceeds from the Father", what does your church say?

Does the church where you hear someone preach say "and the Son"? How can they continue

to say that when they say the "Nicene Creed", when the original Nicene Creed said only

"who proceeds from the Father"? How can you continue to attend a church that makes

this fundamentally wrong error about the Holy Spirit? God bless you. In Erie PA USA May

"He who proceeds from the Father" is THE SAME as "the Son". So there is no problem at all.

Dear MaggieMye, That is just simply wrong. John 15:26 says "which proceedeth from the

Father" (KJV). It does not say anywhere (CHRIST does NOT say anywhere) "which

proceedeth from the Father" AND THE SON. To add the words "AND THE SON" (in

LATIN, FILIOQUE), is to CONTRADICT our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Can't you read

Scripture for yourself and discern the truth, with the help of the Holy Spirit (John

16:13). Kindly pray to Jesus Christ about this, and ask Him to reveal to you where this

heresy of "AND THE SON" comes from. If you want to know, it comes from the Platonic

philosophy of Augustine of Hippo, and not from "Scripture alone".
Take care. God bless

you. In Erie PA Scott Harrington May 2011 AD

My church is full of imperfect people, just like me. I don’t intend to turn my back on them.
