alfred edersheim's book 'sketches of jewish social life' describes a lot of the things that the average boy would have done and been expected to do in first century jewish society...probably jesus did a lot of those things...

jesus most likely went to 'elementary school' and learned to read and study the bible...starting with leviticus...and towards the end of his career in school he would have also been taught in more detail the traditions of the rabbis...
