I know many don't like my views on the Holy Spirit and how He was the divine nature of God living in Christ who now resides in born again believers but that's to be expected considering it is something you seldom hear taught today in most denominations. Most churches actually teach against the gifts of the Spirit thus the fruits of the Spirit (the divine nature) are usually ignored because of it. The concept of the divine nature now residing in us is something that the Lord himself has shown me through my personal bible study and time with the Lord. Fortunately it's nothing new and there are great men of God in the past who held to similar ideals (Andrew Murray for one) that I'm able to read to help me better understand.

However, I do attempt to keep the basics of salvation just as simple as possible but when I read some of the crazy stuff that is being said about some of the most elementary aspects of Christianity, it blows my mind.

I agree that there hasn't been sound doctrine around for a long time and we do need to look throughout Church History to get the full picture.

An excellent compilation of verses that we would all do well to take heed to. The deceiver is on the loose and we must keep speaking the truth for the sake of young or weak Christians.

People do, Ana, BELIEVERS we're talking here--who believe different than you (and I)-- DO have the laws of God , taught through the pentateuch, the prophets, etc., Jesus, WRITTEN on the tablets of their hearts. They just have come to believe the law explained soundly is different meaning than you. BUT....

the real Truth of their being your brother (or sister) in Christ is what? Their belief in Christ, accepting His greatest act of Love, having died on the cross to save the sins of the world, if they believe God did that for them, that is IT That's the ticket

This is no different from all through time, where churches needed different preaching from different prophets, for not only the stage (state) of maturity of the church and peoples, from Israelites to Ninevites to Paul's throngs, but for also the belief of their doctrine.

Sound doctrine sounds different to many believers, hence, there are so many different denominations with different doctrine.

No you are not. We can all clearly trace the origins of Easter to pagans. We use the word primarily out of tradition, and most know what your talking about when you use it. I like to use Resurrection Sunday instead.

I would like to encourage you all to continue to post the truth of Gods Word on this Forum. You are all sent here by the Lord Himself, guided by the Holy Ghost bringing all of the truth of Gods Word to your remembrance. The Lord showed me there are many who come to this Forum and others like it searching for a Word from God. When the truth is posted, the Holy Spirit can lead them to it, for it says in His Word that "My sheep will hear My voice and another's they will not follow" I don't care how much false doctrine is posted, the Lord will lead them to your posts..CAN HE COUNT ON YOU? We will never know until we are with our Lord in glory how many Souls we helped deliver from the enemy. So rejoice! And Praise the Most High God!..Who Was and Was not and Is forever more..The Alpha and Omega! The only Wise God and our Savior, Jesus who is the Christ our Lord!

sound doctrine is given thru scripture, its how "studying the word to be approved" has taken the simplicity found in CHRIST JESUS and turned into a theoligcal text book study, not what i think the cross is all about.
Sound doctrine, divide the word correctly, at the cross, before and after, law from grace, what the finished work of the cross means and has bought us at such a price, HIS BLOOD.

I dont care too much for talk that doesnt edify, glorify Jesus and the love the Father has for us.
