Purposed from before the foundation of the world...
And understood by the OT saints as pictured in the sacrificial system. And understood by Abraham to a high degree as well. After all, he rejoiced to see Jesus' day.

Consider John 3:18
18Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

If someone hasn’t even heard of Jesus then they haven’t had a chance to believe.

I underlined the key point in the verse above.

I don’t think condemnation applies to them. So much we don’t know, maybe they’ll get a chance to accept the gospel or reject later.

I'm having trouble following. Are the ones you refer to in paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 the same people or 2 distinct groups? And are you saying that faith that saves is given to those who believe?
The same people, the elect. God choose them before he formed the earth, and predetermined that his Son would adopt them as his children. When they are born into this world, by natural birth, they are born dead in tranmspasses and sins, in the lusts of their flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others, until God quickens them together with Jesus Christ in the new spiritual birth. They cannot believe in the things of the Spirit, until they have been born again spiritually.

Faith can deliver (save) a born again child of God (his elect), while they sojourn here on earth, by them performing good deeds, but our faith is not the cause of getting eternal live. The only thing that eternally saves (delivers) God's elect is by Jesus remitting their sins on the cross, and securing their eternal inheritance.

Sorry, I did not attach scripture references with my statement, I usually do. The first paragraph of my post was taken from Eph 2.

Ok. Thanks for the further explanation.
