2knowhim:

throughout the OT how many times did God judge Israel? How many times did He warn them?

Did you know when a king enters a city during peace time He rides a donkey but if the country is at war, He rides a horse.

The Gospels Jesus entered on a donkey. In Revelations He is riding a horse.

EternG,

I am not asking you too, honest.
If we don't agree, then so be it.
that doesn't ofend me, not in the least.

This is a place to share our views right?
That's all I was doing.

Blessings
Yes, and I was sharing my view, and explaining why I do not see it the way you do and why.

You see rev as what Jesus did for us. I see it as to how this world will end.

I see it is an answer. Why is God allowing evil today? Why has he not punished evil. why does he seem to be sitting still while all this evil surrounds us?

Scripture tells us why. So that all who are supposed to come to him come. But one day God will not stand still anymore. He will punish evil in a way such as never seen before. Revelation is basically the last battle between God and satan. And the victory FINALLY won completely by Christ.

It is a hope for Christians, Because God will finally say enough is enough. And punishes evil

Like I said, I think it comes down to what we believe from
scripture is the Lord's day.

Maybe someone could pull up all the scriptures from the prophets
and see what it was refering to. Is it still to come? or Was it when
Jesus walked the earth? or was it the day when John saw what he saw?
Acts 2:20) The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

1 Cor 1:8) Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Cor 5:5) To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

2 Cor 1:14) As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1 Thes 5:2) For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

2 Pet 3:10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Rev 1:10) I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

John was not in the spirit on the Sabbath. He received revelation about the future times. They are still future.

I believe John was given The Revelation of What Christ done for us,
Not what He was going to do.

That's also where my faith is, it's in what He has done, not what He's
going to do.

I don't think He left anything undone, I believe He left no stone unturned.
It was a complete work.

Why can't God's Word mean both? At the same time. Why is God's word limited to our understanding of what He means?

I've always felt that Gods word has incredible depth and means much more than just what the surface seems to present. But it also means what the surface seems to present.... If that makes sense.

I hope this helps. I probably didn't explain this very well. I guess what I'm trying to say is that when we think we have it figured out there is a whole other world of meaning in the same words we thought we understood. God's word is amazing.

God Bless You
