Like I said, I think it comes down to what we believe from
scripture is the Lord's day.
Maybe someone could pull up all the scriptures from the prophets
and see what it was refering to. Is it still to come? or Was it when
Jesus walked the earth? or was it the day when John saw what he saw?
Acts 2:20
) The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable
day of the Lord come:
1 Cor 1:8) Who shall also confirm you unto the end,
that ye may be blameless in the
day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Cor 5:5) To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the
day of the Lord Jesus.
2 Cor 1:14
) As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also
are ours in the
day of the Lord Jesus.
1 Thes 5:2
) For yourselves know perfectly that the
day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
2 Pet 3:10
) But the
day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Rev 1:10
) I was in the Spirit on the
Lord's
day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
John was not in the spirit on the Sabbath. He received revelation about the future times. They are still future.
