That we walk in purity and holiness, we avoid sin and we do good works as needs arise.
We can only do this empowered by the Holy Spirit walking in faith and communion with God.
Faith is obeying the impossible and knowing Christ will enable it in our lives

Our Father
Who is in Heaven
Hallowed be you Name
Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive our sins as we forgive those who sin against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
Amen

In being born again we are empowered to walk this walk.
There is no place between this walk and sin.
Sin needs to be identified as it occurs, repented of, confessed and forgiveness sort before the Lord.

In obedience we exercise faith, by doing that which we find impossible but through the Spirit
we are released and transformed.

We are a body and through fellowship, helping carry on anothers burdens we find victory and rest.

In the past whole movements where called Holiness movements.
Paul, told Timothy to live a pure, unblemished life.

I did think maybe we could compromise. Jesus suggests not. If you eye causes you to sin, pluck it out or you will be thown into Hell. So there is no compromise with sin, but we like to delude ourselves there can be.

It seems though many do not want to try and talk about real experience, real struggles and face the honest truth of who we are and how we can work together more.

Hosea 6:6 For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

Matthew 9:13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

2 Samuel 14:14 Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But that is not what God desires; rather, he devises ways so that a banished person does not remain banished from him.

Exodus 32:30 The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”

Leviticus 1:4 You are to lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on your behalf to make atonement for you.

Yes that was also the first thing I thought.

And:

For this is the will of God, your sanctification

Steve Hill said the salvation of people depends on our sanctification.

Taking us way back to the first requirement - that we love Him with our whole heart, body and mind.

If we can only do that, the rest will fall into place.

God's will is to have himself a people who will love and worship him eternally.

(Sorry. I don't believe God's will is to save everyone or everyone would be saved.)

Amen! Good quote from 1 Timothy 2:4. God's will is clear: John 6:40 - For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Gods will is a very diverse and complex subject. His will in relation to us is but a small part of Gods will yet it is as diverse as the number of people He has created.

For the cause of Christ

Isaiah 54:4 “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
5 For your Maker is your husband—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.
6 The Lord will call you back
as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—
a wife who married young,
only to be rejected,” says your God.
7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back.
8 In a surge of anger
I hid my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness
I will have compassion on you,”
says the Lord your Redeemer.

2 Samuel 24:16 When the angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was afflicting the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.” The angel of the Lord was then at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

Jonah 4:1 But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry. He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.

Matthew 9:13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Luke 6:36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Matthew 12:7 If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.

John 9:41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

Luke 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Matthew 5:45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
