What is it that faith takes?

OMG Blain has made a thread that isn't about the end times:O I just thought i would make a thread about faith since we all have to have this to be saved. Like the thread title says what does it take to have true faith? Every religions so called faith is the right one to them. The jews, the catholics, the christians, some of the people in these types of faith will flip out if you question them about their way of faith. Is faith about knowing the word? No that can't be because many people know the word very well but do not the lord at all. Do you think maybe faith is about performing miracles and wonders? Obviously not because even the devil can do this. Is faith maybe about being a good person and doing good deeds? No there has to be something more, something deeper something that just isn't natural to the human nature. You see i haven't even been a christian for a year yet, and I had no one to teach me this stuff, church did no good to teach me. But in spending all my time with the lord as i am trapped in my house almost 24/7 I discovered that faith is just another word for having a relationship with god. But not a normal one either, true faith is when you actually fall in love with him. I told him from the very first day i had the holy spirit flaring in me i do not seek an ordinary relationship with him. I figured if i am going to do this i am going to do this right. To go as deep as i can go. So what is your faith like? What is faith based on? Knowing scripture is great, but that doesn't mean you know god. FAITH Is just another word for love

Faith is having hope in things you can't always see or understand but knowing that God loves you and it will work out some how.

It takes the new birth (which is a work solely by God) to possess saving faith.

I know that Gd is the creator & sustainer of my faith. It all comes frm Him. I can draw close, study, pray, read but at the end of the day, it is all about Him. God Bless, <><
