Eph 6:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
I used to think the above passage was generic dealing with any day of temptation. But I believe this day that Paul discusses is an actual day where Satan attempts to deceive the world into believing that he is Christ. We have several other references that are likely referring to this same evil day.
...the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, [SUP]4 [/SUP]who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God...
[SUP]9 [/SUP]The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, [SUP]10 [/SUP]and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish...
Could this be AKA the Hour of Trial spoken of by John?
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And he deceives thosewho dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast
Christ Himself also speaks of a time when there will be a call to people to go out and see Him but it is not Him, but rather someone claiming to be Christ.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]“Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
Thankfully Christ warns us to not go out and to not believe it when someone other than Him who comes first comes claiming to be Christ. Christ goes on to tell us that He does not come the way this Man of Sin comes. Instead, Christ comes as lightening flashes from east to west. So if someone tells you Christ is here to rapture you away, DO NOT BELIEVE IT!!!
