Many Christians are looking forward to God’s judgment — often quite fearfully. Revelation describes what the Bible calls the Great White Throne Judgment:

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place fort hem. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS. And thesea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and Hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS. And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-14[KJV]).

This prophecy describes a time when God resurrects people after their death. Here the Greek translated “Hell” is
hades, which means the grave. Then the prophecy goes on to describe how these people are judged. But I especially want you to notice how God judges these people “according to their works.”

Works?

Does not God grant salvation and eternal life as a free gift? And aren’t we saved by Christ’s sacrifice, instead of the measure of our human accomplishments?

So what kind of judging is going in here?

Now let's add something from Matthew 16:27:

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels;and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Here Jesus describes how God will evaluate peoples’ works to determine their spiritual reward.

But is this not an exact parallel to what we just read in Revelation 20?

So during the final White Throne Judgment, those who are not written in the Book of Life are cast into the lake of fire, while the rest are "judged" so they can be rewarded according to their deeds. Thus it appears the White Throne Judgment actually does two things:

1) sentences those who rebelliously reject God to the second death.
2) determines the reward given to those who repent and are saved.

This is the Great White Throne judgment of God when the dead/lost will be judged according to their works and the books of the law, found guilty and cast from the presence of God into the Lake of Fire where the smoke of their torment will ascend forever!

Well, how does this fit in:

Matthew 16:27: For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels;and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

The judgment seat of Christ is for the saved where we are rewarded for our works that remain after they have been judged by fire.....at the resurrection/change!

TRIBULATION - 7 year rule of The Anti-Christ
CHrist Return - Defeat of the Anti-Christ
1000 year rule - Satan etc locked away for 1000 years, perfect peace and sin free world with Christ ruling. - note the saints killed during Tribulation will be resurected and help rule etc.
Armegedon - Final battle after Satan is let loose, we know how that ends.
White Throne Judgement - primarily for those living in the 1000 years of Christs rule, being judged by works etc as salvation through Christ is not available anymore. Sorting of Goats from Sheep, those in book of life just go to live in New Earth.
New Earth - our new life of eternity.

The Bema seat judgement is for believers only.

The GWT judgement is for unbelievers only.

Believers are rewarded for their works done in the Spirit. and their human good is burned up.

Sin is judged......even unbelief. Unbelief earns the unbeliever a trip to the GWT. And then they are JUDGED by their human good deeds(evil). they get a chance to "plead" their case. And their case is nowhere near the case of Christ.

Human good is judged and they are sent to the LoF for their evil(human good)

Do you really want to hash it out? I am willing.

Start with the fundamental...............did Christ pay for ALL sin or did He Not.

New American Standard Bible
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds.

Doesn't say they were judged according to their sins or unbelief.

· Two different sets of books are present at Judgment.

· One set consists of many books, and is filled with the works of the unrighteous.

· The other set consists of just one book, and is filled with the names of the Righteous.

· The Lamb’s singular Book of Life contains the names of the Righteous, only. No works.

· The other books (plural) contain the works of the un-righteous, only. No names.

· Both the Righteous and the un-righteous have works....but it is only the un-righteous who are judged by it.

· The unrighteous are judged by their works, as they lack faith.

· The righteous are not judged by their works, as they have faith.

· The righteous are rewarded for their faith-based works.

· Only the ‘dead’ are judged.

· The ‘Living’ are not judged.

· The Righteous are saved from Judgment by their faith

· When it states that the Righteous will judge, it is referring to the names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, used as a reference point, opened at Judgment in order to judge the unrighteous.

And that's my point. Jesus said the Father gave all judgment to Christ. However, Jesus also said He judges no man. And this forces us to make certain conclusions.

And Jesus said the Second Coming would occur during the generation in which He lived on earth.
Jesus said learn the parable of the fig tree, he said he would return during [this generation] the fig tree generation, we are in the fig tree generation now, 1948 to 2018.
Jesus said he did not come to judge man at his first coming but he will at his second advent. God bless

Did the Lord and His apostles lie?

Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Joh 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto YOU, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that IT IS THE LAST TIME

I Peter 1:19-20 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest IN THESE LAST TIMES for you

[h=1]Luke 12:43-49[/h]43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware , and will cut him in sunder , and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given , of him shall be much required : and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I , if it be already kindled ?

Running out of relevant scriptures? Well, that's what happens when one contradicts the Lord and Savior.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Mat 7:21-23).

The subject in Matt. 16 is Jesus having to suffer death and rise to heaven, he said there be some standing here which shall not taste death till see the son of man coming in his kingdom, only Judas was not there to see him rise.
If you want to know about his second advent you will find it in Matt.24 ,Mark 13, we must follow the subject. God bless

Not running out of relevant scriptures as the passage I gave above ^^^^^shows that not all people will be punished the same. As in not all will burn for eternity in the Lake of Fire, as there are different punishments (lengths) for those who are unbelievers to those who are disobedient.
