Jonah comes to mind... Even Moses. And Elijah became so upset, he asked God to take his life.
You gave some excellent examples. Moses struggled terribly as he felt that his togue was tied and was not a refined public speaker. God understood and appointed Aaron to speak for him.

A prophet warns what will happen if the present attitudes and behaviour of his audience continues.
It is much more than that. The prophet speaks words given to him by God, and gives God's thoughts to men. S true prophet also performs miracles either through prayer or directly (e.g. Elisha). But prophets are also despised, persecuted, and killed. Modern prophets are a sham, and those who gave me red Xs just love the frauds. So are modern apostles. Rick Joyner has claimed he visited Heaven several times.

I feel led to share this dream.

I was working a shift in a Russian nuclear power plant. Most of the people working were speaking in Russian, but some of them could speak English as well.

One guy I was talking to was telling me that he hadn't served in the military to fight in the Russia/Ukraine war and so his social standing wasn't as high as others who had. A young woman who worked there had been shot multiple times in a Ukrainian attack on Russia but had survived. Very kind and friendly people.

Suddenly, I was sitting next to President Vladimir Putin. He was speaking to me in English. He was making jokes and talking about stuff I don't remember. Very friendly. He had come to observe the working conditions of a shift at the nuclear power plant and was sitting with us workers.

Then, a huge fleet of cars and helicopters full of presidential security flew up the plant, approaching from the front. Putin got up and walked outside to them without waiting for any security to protect him. He was fearless in his own country and was not concerned for his own safety, confident of his protection. As I watched him approach his security, I was filled with dread and a realization was given to me that something terrible is about to happen.

However, a true prophet doesn't have to struggle and agonize over what the Lord wants them to communicate. But this is exactly what many "prophets" say these days. They will say: God communicated his message perfectly, but I didn't quite understand it; or, I wasn't able to communicated it to others as perfectly as He communicated it to me. /QUOTE]
You reallyneed to look this over:

Jer. 20:7O Lord, you have deceived me,
and I was deceived;
you are stronger than I,
and you have prevailed.
I have become a laughingstock all the day;
everyone mocks me.
8For whenever I speak, I cry out,
I shout, “Violence and destruction!”
For the word of the Lord has become for me
a reproach and derision all day long.
9If I say, “I will not mention him,
or speak any more in his name,”
there is in my heart as it were a burning fire
shut up in my bones,
and I am weary with holding it in,
and I cannot.
10For I hear many whispering.
Terror is on every side!
“Denounce him! Let us denounce him!”
say all my close friends,
watching for my fall.
“Perhaps he will be deceived;
then we can overcome him
and take our revenge on him.”
11But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior;
therefore my persecutors will stumble;
they will not overcome me.
They will be greatly shamed,
for they will not succeed.
Their eternal dishonor
will never be forgotten.
12O Lord of hosts, who tests the righteous,
who sees the heart and the mind,a
let me see your vengeance upon them,
for to you have I committed my cause.

Amos 8:7For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.
8The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?”

WHO called you to judge those who have been called to prophesy?
I sincerely hope you repent before the Lord judges you.

I'm not judging anyone. Not everyone is a true prophet, that's just the facts of life. "The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps." Proverbs 14:15

ResidentAlien has attacked me many times on here, and I got defensive about it, but I should have just loved him all the same. The Lord told me to stop defending myself and that He would defend me. So, I do my best to not care because it's in the Lord's hands.

Where are those prophecies? Christians are to expose false prophets, so there is nothing to repent about. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (Matthew 24:11). Those are the words of Christ.

If you think you are a true prophet, tell us exactly what you prophesied and when it was fulfilled.

Who has the right to put the false & the true under one catagory? Such a one does the work of the devil, destroying the reputations of God's chosen, declaring them to be false.
God's anointed are all saints who are called by God to do ANYTHING in His kingdom.
"TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED, & DO MY PROPHETS NO HARM". ( 1 Chronicles 16:22, Psalm 105:15) Disobedience of this command brings its own judgment.

That is just nonsense. Exposing the devil is not the work of the devil. Every Christian has the right to expose false prophets. And I asked you a question which you failed to answer. Because you could not do so.

Where are these "reputable anointed prophets"? Give us specifics, and don't make wild and stupid accusations.

Moses was known to be one of the meekest of the prophets. When anyone said anything against him, He said/did NOTHING. God took care of it.:)

1 John 4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

We're suppose to test the spirits first, not just accept that a person says that they're a prophet right away.

Are true prophets ever a "work in progress?" Seems to me you either have it or you don't. The idea that prophets have to refine their skills and become better messengers of the messages God gives them is a relatively modern idea. I don't see this in scripture.
Accurate!!!! "Prophesy" is a GIFT. I have spoken prophesy (and Interpretation of Tongues) as the Holy Spirit gave utterance. But I don't possess the "Office" of a "Prophet". Just a normal Christian manifesting normal "Gifts of the spirit", as detailed in 1 Cor 12.

Prophesy is "Forth-telling" and not necessary anything to do with future events. Prophesy is what God want's specific people to know about a vast variety of issues. "Tongues", "Interpretation of tongues", "Word of Wisdom", And "Word of Knowledge" are all the same Prophetic gift, only differing as to subject matter.

If it's "Refined", or "Practiced / perfected", then it's NOT "Prophesy" AT ALL!!! Just "preaching".

There are people who even think they are an apostle today, and we know there have been no more apostles.

It can happen to anyone being tested and still having much to learn.

About 10 years ago I had a dream I was standingin the middle of a country road on a clear sunny day. I looked down the road & I could clearly see two white tornadoes about 3-5 miles away, coming from the right & left side of the road towards me. As they came towards me, they combined into one between 3-4 times their individual size. When they combined, it started getting darker. Since I was the only person around, I understood it was coming at me. Then I woke up.
Within 8 months, my best friend(a state board member) accused me before the state board that I was planning to cause some problems. I was instructed by mail to meet the board & bring the books to the church. The board decided, without meeting with me to check my side of the story, to pull the charter on our church & give the building to the storefront church across town.
I believe the state bishop & my best friend were the ones woking against me.
Do you think I would make up such a humilating story for you???

True prophets aren't usually well known because it's not about the prophet, but his/her message to a person or church.
My dream came true. I didn't need to tell anyone about it, because it was my personal business. Yet I told you anyway, because you take it upon yourself to be judge & jury that all prophets/prophecies are false.
Pleas repent of this sin & believe that Acts 2 is still 'yay' & 'amen", because that's God's promise to the church.
